This is really dull stuff. You need a fair battle between bat and ball for a good game of cricket. Worst day of the season so far for us. Team in the bottom 2 looking like they will bat for 2 whole days, leaving us to try to bat the remaining 2 days to salvage a draw.

Across the last 2 wickets of our innings against Glamorgan, Glamorgan's second innings and Middlesex's innings today, 10 wickets have fallen in the last 226 overs.

Can only think we've bowled first as we're hoping Middlesex will set us a target on the last day. It's a shame that the free ticket day is being played on a dead pitch, with a useless ball, whilst we are having to field a second XI bowling attack. Hard to see many spectators who turned up for this being tempted back, sadly.

Or, with the ball we'll be using and how dry it's been, will we prep a bunsen burner and gamble on Rehan and Trev out-bowling their spinners?

Why no Van Beek? At this rate we'll have to play Salisbury and Walker again, with Hull and Holland also missing.
