But if he’s not the main striker then who is? As far as I can see we literally don’t have one at the club other than Opoku?

Increasingly seems like the deal for BCDR. He’s dropping down at his age and injury record as I imagine that we’ve offered him a longer contract than Ipswich were prepared to offer

For all our skepticism about Martin being appointed, I did think he may be a good man to change the culture. From his previous clubs, for all his faults and lack of a plan b, I don’t think you can accuse him of not trying to instil a positive vibe and culture. Perhaps it helps the bad eggs are finally being shifted, but nevertheless I’m willing to get behind him.

I always thought Puel would be judged better in hindsight. His recruitment was excellent, when he got a tune out of the team it was equally as good. He built the team Rodgers got some success out of. He has all the traits of an excellent DOF in this country as I suspect his vibe over here didn’t land well with a lot of players.

So I’m picking up this signing should be regarded as underwhelming? But I guess he reflects our position in the pecking order these days…

Anyone still in the game, and particularly a nearby club who do deals with us, is hardly going to criticise him. Absolutely pointless discussion. His track record speaks for itself, and it’s becoming clear now just how bleak our finances are and will be for some time to come. The fact he’s still employed and strolls around I find absolutely incredible.
