  1. Cooper was a lost cause, the players were never going to raise their game for him. The issue with Ruud is, does he have the ability to make this rabble perform better than the sum of its parts after the obvious "new manager bounce?" If not, then it's going to have to be a fantastic transfer window to keep us up, as well as some tactical tweaks to stop us shipping 20+ shots a game. If that doesn't happen either, then you have to question whether, again, it was the correct appointment or whether we needed someone who knows his way around a bang average squad, a la Dyche who makes his turds unflushable, or Moyes. Despite those questions, i'm backing RvN, he gets a free pass even if we go down this year. He needs to be backed ridiculously heavily for me in January to change the view that everything around him is the issue. Squad, recruitment, DoF etc.
  2. It'll be impressive if Winks can do that from the treatment table!
  3. Imagine McAteer is being used for his defensive contribution for the first 50/60 minutes. Gordon and/or Barnes will be a nightmare for JJ, it's a scary thought.
  4. Under his guidance, LCFC learned to walk again. He gave us the platform to not only run, but to fly to the stars. I hope his recovery emulates that 💙
  5. He's a bit like a budget Oxlade-Chamberlain, who spent years trying to find his best position, he didn't really have the attributes to fit anywhere. Like him, will probably end up in a mid 3.
  6. Are they allowed to sack him?? They aren't in the relegation zone.
  7. "... OK Wout, I have a special role for you now. Be a doll and go fetch my Jumpers from the cleaners. But carry them like this otherwise you drag them all over the floor"
  8. Good idea, but we have a game midweek so there isn't enough time
  9. VI've lowered my expectation to absolute zero throughout December. A point this month is a bonus point with this squad (a few exceptions) and will see what business is done in January. My passion has gone completely, Ruud won't save this bin fire as long as those above him hold a position. Top can just move the club to Penzance, and we'll create a phoenix club.
  10. If he hasn't got the balls to sack this incompetent muppet, he needs to sell up. He's trusted people under him to run this club and they've done so appallingly.
  11. Got a horrible feeling this is going to be a continuation of the absolute circus of a season so far. Hope he's got contacts to bring some January signings in at least.
  12. My gut feeling is, he's not what we need right now. Hopefully he proves me wrong and he gets my support to do so. Hoping he brings in some experienced coaches. Mike Phelan and Rene Meulensteen spring to mind.
  13. Disappointed if it's RvN, was bottom of my list of potential new managers. However, it's more interesting than keeping Cooper. Happy to be proven wrong, but we need tried and trusted for a couple of seasons, Moyes for me was the safest gamble.
  14. All well and good but Top and his "representatives" haven't shown anything recently that suggests they're any more competent than those he's employed to undertake these roles. As much as I don't want Rudkin et al running the day to day, I don't want an Owner doing this either. Bin off your current backroom setup, Top, and get a chief scout and DoF with a vision for the future.
  15. You'd hope all of this is done PRIOR to them sacking Cooper, but with our lot you never know. It wasn't a snap decision after yesterday's game to get rid,
  16. We'll regret appointing him in the first place, the writing was on the wall so early.
  17. No... It should have been after the United game, before the international break.
  18. I don't see anybody getting a different result to that, today. But it's surely time up for him. If so, why not before the internationals?
  19. Mads VK Okoli Vesty Faes JJ Winks Skipp Bilal Mavididi Vardy 0-4 Chelsea
  20. There was no chance that we'd have managed to hire Amorim in the summer, in our situation. These managers know the level of clubs that'll be sniffing around them, he's 2 levels about where we are currently at. The problem with an up and coming young manager, is they'll be off if they manage to keep us up. They might be off if they take us down then bring us back up and they'll probably be sacked if they take us down and keep us down. Moyes has the ability to keep us in this league for a few seasons, and is unlikely to be snapped up by another club in the process. Once/If we're stable again, we can then look further afield.
  21. Any F**ker?
  22. We've never recruited any manager without previous experience in the UK, unless you discount Enzo's time at Man City. I don't want Potter either, he'll be another here who thinks he's bigger than the club and what he did at Brighton was set in motion by the club as a whole, they're set up to make any manager they employ a success. That won't happen here...
  23. He spoke, on video, declaring what literally everybody else in England suspected. Klopp is a c*nt and from Germany. Liverpool (and scousers in general) are b*llends.
  24. As bad as Cooper is, there isn't a chance anybody comes in and gets us any more than 4 points from that run.. We don't have a very good squad. A leaky defence and an attack that solely relies on a near 38-year-old Vardy. Aside from him and (prime) Ndidi, we have nobody in this squad that have proven they are anything better than bottom 3 standard players. Maybe Winks at a push, who got relegated from Serie A before coming to us. Hermansen is quality but isn't going to win us games without a defence. We would need far, far better than Moyes or Potter to steer the ship. It requires thinking outside of the box, but our board don't hire managers from abroad so it won't happen.
  25. We were never getting back in that against 11 men. Tactically inferior, regressed technically from last season. What an awful, awful appointment. Yet he'll survive another week because we didn't lose.
