Since when has there been a massive club buy out and the existing manager has been part of their long terms plans apart from perhaps when the Glazers bought United? There are many clubs in the top two divisions who have good reason to loath their owners and I just think despite the current circumstances we are not one of them.

could you not say this exact sentence about our current situation? i think 07-08 is easily forgotten but we were absolutely atrocious that year. I also remember the season starting with great hope and fanfare under Martin Allen. It was such a let down, and I remember walking away from Vicarage Road with @Alexikokopops, @Katy and @Fez of Mahrez in FEBRUARY and we were 100% certain we were going down. 07-08 was worse.

Is it? I often think that the fans mentality is also a pretty major reason too. I didn’t say it’s ok to get relegated. And I’m not saying Top should necessarily be our owner forever. But the reasons that we are going down are not solved magically by putting the club on the market.

The owners have transformed our club from what was almost an eternity of mediocrity into a team that’s won trophies and played in Europe, built out the infrastructure at the club. The first minute things don’t go our way we turn on them. Many things have gone wrong over the past couple of years, but we don’t know what goes on behind the scenes. We speculate about whats going on but the reality is that you don’t have a clue. be careful what you wish for.

The Taylor and Holloway seasons were easily worse than this. One of our main problems is that so many of our fans are morons. Won’t get behind the club, wail like it’s the end of the world every time a mistake is made and want to abuse everyone at the club.
