Comparing enzo’s time with RVN doesn’t stack up winks had a newborn whilst rvn was manager. None of know what the dynamics were of his domestic arrangements. The fact he stood by his decision and was ok to be frozen out as a consequence tells me that there was something more than football in play. I think the sell to Ukraine will be that it isn’t the entirety all four oblasts and Putin will allow the west to have boots on the ground in Ukraine as part of a ‘nato protection deal’ - think ‘west Germany lite’ with its nato bases. (But way smaller). So not nato membership with its guaranteed protection but nato forces providing 24/7 assistance and defacto protection. If Putin can sell as a win with no nato membership then effective nato protection is good enough ???

Been the case for years now enzo got around it by keeping possession and working in the basis that the other teams weren’t good enough not to pass it back to us or miss any chances they created. our intensiteeeee is non existent. Would love to see how our sprints per game compare to other sides.

His psr value is now around 16m anything over 20m brings marti 5 x that difference to spend this year (but would have to make sales each summer to allow for 20% of any fee ). Assuming we haven’t budgeted to sell BEK, if we sold for 22m then marti could spend up to £25/30m to stand still on this seasons psr numbers - but we’d have to drive profitable sales of £5m each summer to cover this expenditure. Otherwise we’d just push losses forwards. but the likelihood would be that we’d just ease off trying to sell someone else we’d banked on moving (like bouba and JJ )

We can’t sell him until he’s 17 ?? And whilst he looks like an amazing talent, no one knows how he will respond mentally to the money next season. Can’t see us getting anything like the sums some of you are imagining until he’s 18. And even then that will depend on what players were able to put out with him. If we surround him with average then he won’t be able to show his potential properly and his fee will be suppressed as a result.

True but he’s in and around them he’s sitting amongst them pre match and at half time and immediately post match. he’s training with them he’s travelling with them

He’ll be gone before we could get a maguire sized fee for him reckon end next season at best never going to drive the return on such a talent that we should be (both on and off the pitch) atm, most likely we’d squeeze £35m out of a Man City or Chelsea at 17 y o. He’s not a Lamal because we can’t give him the exposure or team he’d need to show that level of talent. and once the money starts rolling in for him next season no one knows what happens to his mentality.

Sort of this - yes I could conceive of an arrangement where Russia get crimea and at least three of the oblasts and they allow Ukraine to have a security agreement with western powers (USA included) where it has protection if its attacked by a foreign power. No nato and no eu membership. Putin may calculate that he could manipulate a friendly govt in Kyiv within the next decade.

Some leaks that Putin wants the four oblasts and crimea. But he may negotiate a little away from Donetsk region. obviously Ukraine won’t agree to this but trump now says he wants a peace deal rather than a ceasefire and then negs (seems Putin talked him into this). European leaders could find themselves backed into a corner
