Could you finance a talented footballer for £3m per season (psr element of fee + wages ) it depends what spurs would want as a loan fee. Could be that covering the wages would be enough for them. no idea about the ‘went missing’ part of your post as didn’t pay a lot of attention to championship football last season (was hard enough to bother with our campaign).
