Seems reasonable 😄 vichai wouldn’t have dumped her either although she may have been relocated to another part of the kp business

Bournemouth Away Pre-Match Thread

How does a team get relegated without receiving a red ? That’s horrific -
Any rush to sell players unexpectedly (or decent assets for lowish fees) in the second half June when the window opens will tell you what the numbers for 24/25 looks like. we’ve always avoided selling players with high wages because we wanted our cake and to eat it - give us a decent fee and take on the exorbitant salary. If you see daka and bouba leave in that fortnight for reasonable fees then we’ve accepted we have to move a big chunk of their wages onto next years numbers and to kick the can down the road.

Very true mac Said it from day 1 - trust pretty much nothing you read from either side (and sadly most media too). That bbc headline the other morning was possibly the worst one I've seen in the last 18 months from the organisation (in either direction). I mean what level of journalist do they employ - even a sixth former would have questioned it before publishing. That then detracts from what dreadful events are actually happening there when they are reported because quite rightly, people don’t then trust what’s written.

Can’t see those lyrics catching on

Ha (should have written checkers) edited !

You think they’re capable of 3D chess? 2D draughts is way beyond them!

There may be some context but it’s still depressing.

I wrote that it wasn't your point Mac ?

If he’s a local boy then it’s truly depressing that someone who has been around the academy for so long wouldn’t be an Lcfc fan. The whole time he was deciding where his loyalties lay we were a PL club and in the period that mattered most we were a v decent PL club.

Europa Conference League 2023/24

Does anyone know if ange was asked this ? He’s excused their dreadful PL campaign in a defensive context by saying ‘it’s who we are’. Yet last night (and in Frankfurt) they defended for pretty much the whole game to get a result. -
Whilst that logic is understandable, I feel it’s dangerous to offer any equivalence. (Which will happen widely today). Otherwise we’d be excusing the murder of Russian diplomats on our streets, or of British and American diplomats in a third country by Iraqi sympathisers. (Add in tens of other examples). Or maybe that would be considered acceptable ?? I know that isnt your point but it’s a small step to get there for many easily influenced and skewed personalities out there. .

Europa Conference League 2023/24

If spurs win then we lose a massive number of jokes that are the staple diet of many people down here we usually say ‘may the best team win’ - tonight ‘may the worst team lose’ would be more appropriate -
He was supposed to be v capable with his feet but the Martin style is so rigid that finding someone who can manage it will be v tough
-
He won’t be successful with Jacob as keeper Do we trust the club to get a keeper in who will excel to play the Martin way ??
-
Looks a bit harsh to me (can’t see if studs are up) but he won’t be playing against us on Sunday EDIT : seen a still and his studs are very much up into the shin on the follow through
-
Never frigging did that against us over the years !

Whoever made the video chose to overlay a black rat image towards the top of the screen next to the text accompaniment. they 100% knew the significance of the rat imagery. Gary made a massive error in not spotting it. It was clearly not related to anything in the video so you’d have thought lineker (who is experienced in tv and film production ) would have noticed it and done some digging. The verbal term ‘rat’ has no specific anti semitic significance imo. Anyone taking offence would be deliberately choosing to do so. The AS angle is purely the imagery of the rat as used by the nazis in their dehumanising posters etc.
-
Don’t overdo Gary’s loss all he’s not doing is the World Cup and fa cup 2026.

it seems that we didn’t provide the PL with our championship season 23/24 accounts by end dec 24 as required. I assume we were still using the argument that as a championship club, the PL doesn't have the authority to review our accounts for 23/24 under existing rules. Having reviewed our published accounts for 23/24, the PL seems to have waited for the new rules to be agreed between PL and EFL re jurisdiction crossover and then issued charges. This isn’t a case of retrospective justice - the new rules state that either league can issue charges for breaches in either league. I wonder if the PL have charged us now whilst we’re a PL club to avoid a scenario where the EFL charged us in June and we argued that the breach should have been issued by the PL because the new rules weren’t agreed until April. the breach shouldn’t be too massive but EFL points deductions are often bigger than PL so second guessing isn’t likely to be worthwhile. Seems inconceivable that we won’t receive a deduction next season. Kudos to the board for deciding it was better to avoid one this campaign - hindsight is a wonderful thing but our board doesn’t seem to have foresight either !
-
But they’ve done what they needed to in Europe to get there - unlike us three years ago. Not their fault that the PL is so uncompetitive at the bottom to allow them to concentrate their resources

If they know someone wants him then they obviously invoke the option. Wouldn’t earn them much as they’d have to pay a loyalty bonus but it will be more than nowt. If I was his agent I’d be pleading with interested parties to keep shtum. The fact that there is noise probably says that no one is interested and his agent is trying to get the extension.
