My youngest just told me that’s there’s VAR ….. like one game too late …. -
I wouldn’t argue against your ‘conspiracy ‘ point but Everton will argue that six points for one years discretion isn’t soft It’s not two points for a discretion. It’s six but the period judged is a three year rolling period. So if you transgress then you lose six points. Everton are being charge a second time but will argue that 2/3 of their punishment has already been applied against the three year rolling period. So if you break the rules then you could say that this is a license to break them again quickly and you’ll only lose 2 points the second time! For example, if forest were to lose six points and stay up, then faced with the Johnson scenario this June, they’d likely hang onto the player for the additional 20 million and take a two point sanction next season.
-
Kevin Maguire suggests this is v possible they are apparently basing the sanctions on efl rules which state no double jeopardy. their current six points are over a three year period so could be viewed as 2 points per season. their new rule break is only for one season so logic says they will get another 2 points. whether that means forest can appeal any deduction on the basis that they should only receive a 4 point deduction for this season (they’ve only been PL for two years) remains to be seen

I wonder if cup games count towards younus’ appearance clause ?

If we can’t get the fee for him then I think he’ll come back and enzo will make something of him. He should be ok for enzo’s 8 role. how many of you thought wilf would work there ?

Saying that only post PL starting is modern era makes me feel ancient I’d say 1984 onwards is the modern era - within 40 years (and it takes forest’s euro cups out of the equation😀) -
They’ll make some changes they have squad players that they need to keep happy but many of their squad players are better than our first teamers ! expecting a difficult evening as you say playing out from the back against their high press may generate quite a responsive match thread …….

Sadly we’ve fooked the opportunity over the last two fixtures if we’re 10 points ahead of Ipswich then we’d probably have a go

1992 isn’t the modern era ? Pee off mate 😄 -
You’d think so but with centre backs, it’s not the same as midfielders or wingers. They can cope better with three games a week. I’d be more inclined to have coady/nelson playing with whoever they’ll be next to on Saturday and Tuesday.

Ask Southampton how easy they found it to beat milwall ………

Didn’t help trying to come back against a team with hoddle pulling the strings with ten men after William’s leg break. enjoyed singing about the Falklands though (not that I appreciated much about what I was singing ) -

You sort of both miss my point somewhat as politics becomes more and more about who looks good and sounds good infront of a tv screen, this is the pre requisite for deciding who makes the decisions on our future. it’s not about who is the brightest with a vision - it’s about who is the most charismatic. I’m sure this is one of the reasons why we have such poor politics around the world with people who we generally think simply aren’t up to it
-
Of course we can’t confirm anything until things are certain but you’ll find deals are agreed with agents and clubs in principle. If we were 12 points ahead now then we’d be able to approach an agent and the position would be that they would accept we were going up and no need to talk to others if they liked what we offered and were happy to come here. Now they’ll still want to talk to others which could mean we miss out. It’s just an added complication that I reckon rudkin didn’t expect a month ago
-
There is a basic problem with politicians to be a politician, you need to be an effective public speaker and have the confidence of appearing in front of groups (big and small) that means a large number of decent good intelligent people are unable to become involved in making decisions on how the country is run. We limit the base of who we have to choose from. This is true all across the globe. did we had better politicians when things were on the radio rather than tv. (Especially live tv)

The gap dropping to six points may complicate some of our transfer business suspect we had a few deals that we wanted to pretty much put to bed early once we were so far ahead promotion wasn’t in question

Development/Youth Squads 2023/2024 Thread - U18/U21
st albans fox replied to Ryy's topic in Leicester City Forum
I get what you mean I’d say there are kids ahead of him atm that klopp feels are more deserving of an appearance. Surely if they ‘couldn’t afford’ to bring him on then they wouldn’t stick him on the bench. Isn’t fair to other U18. midfielders they have
