  1. The player was 100% wanting to move on with the settling issues he had last year it wasn’t a conversation enzo wanted to have. We needed to get players out to free up some wages for incomings. I’m sure enzo would make a better player of bouba but it isn’t something we need to concern ourselves about if Sevilla are going to take up their option
  2. Jeez …… thank goodness you aren’t a local journo! ainsworth’s team talk done for him
  3. anyone wonder what enzo and his coaching staff could do with bouba ?? (he wouldn't come back here btw - mentally can't hack it - or couldn't )
  4. 33 points clear of the bottom side after 13 games - nuts
  5. Well cannon has gone from being ready towards the end of the year to by mid November but the recovery from knee surgery is usually not something that can be rushed
  6. Another hull incoming then ! we looked a bit leggy last night
  7. If he’s superstitious then this will become an ongoing proposal before every home game …..
  8. They pressed high and went man for man so it was tough to play out the space was wide where the wingers were left isolated one for one which is pretty brave by Mowbray with a one goal lead we didn’t look comfortable playing out against that kind of high press and clearly didn’t want to risk it - so the tactic second half became playing it long to casadei who had the beating of his marker in the air and for nacho or vards to pick up the flick on or to win a throw. Clearly not the kind of control we usually have but enzo will work on it because there are solutions with movement from the wingers and the eights
  9. That was dreadful never had proper control and was fortunate that no player decided to make a shocking challenge in frustration it was like he had a dice in his pocket which had two sides leicester, two sides Sunderland and the rest don’t give anything. And he just rolled it every time the players looked at him ….. clearly the dice was weighted against us in all physical challenges. Considering his experience, he was dire.
  10. You weren’t far away - I think he only had two kicks !
  11. The physicality of our 8’s is v important in enzo’s system. KDH compensates for his size with his engine and pressing. With winks as the holder, we rely on the 8’s to try and recover possession/get amongst them before the opposition can break clear on Harry. Someone like youri would be useless as an 8 for us now whereas he managed it well with wilf behind him a few years back. I can’t see a youngster like alves being asked to do that job whilst the league is still competitive - keeping our foot down will hopefully enable us to have a look at stuff like alves as an 8 later in the season.
  12. I think we have to wait for him to be back and see if the injury has left any physical/mental marks on him you’d have put him ahead of both those boys on dribbling ability pre injury - and pace is always a worry post serious knee injuries
  13. He’s not an 8 ( well not unless he can beef up and improve his pressing/tackling) for now we’ll see him out wide
  14. Don’t have the stomach for the moaning ….. will probably be less stressful if we lose than leaving him at home !
  15. Apologies - bringing my youngest who hasn’t seen us win since brighton (a) 2019 well that’s not strictly true because he was there final game of last season but because we were relegated, the win is discounted ! he’s a curse either way !
  16. Spurs actually playing well
  17. They lost at stoke on Saturday but on efl stats I read that they created two big chances (we had three), and had an Xg of 1.9 (high for an away side) of course we should win but they are clearly a decent side if given too much rope
  18. It would, probably be one of his body doubles anyway maybe no one knows who the real vlad is now im Spartacus !
  19. Guess we have to wait for Mexico then to see how much progress Mercedes have made yesterdays result without the disqualification isn’t clear anyway as we have no idea how bad max’s brake issue was
  20. Is there or isn’t there an embargo on discussion of the Hamas/Israel conflict I think a strategic discussion about the threat of a wider conflict in the region would be useful as it may not at this stage involve having to ‘take sides’ or have strong opinions
  21. I need to listen to that !
  22. They’re quite a machine though mentally didn’t seem to panic on the pitch despite the scoreline around 73 mins and still down a score, they had a couple scrums well into their own half. No rush - taking their time - letting the clock tick down. Absolutely sure that they would get a penalty chance in range at some point and the longer that took to come around, the less time England would have to come back and manufacture a drop goal opportunity. Mindset of winners
  23. We had a good premier league squad we’re now in the championship what we spent in the summer is relevant - teams coming down will always sell a few quality players. I don’t think you can compare teams dropping down and teams already in the EFL re summer nett spend. and what about loaned out too ? We lost several players as loans which doesn’t bring anything into the nett equation.
  24. Nett spend is pretty irrelevant when you sell £90m+ worth of players
  25. A few of you will be wondering why s Africa got that penalty at the end to win - it wasn’t very clear who had offended this is where the previous scrums come into play - when you get continually hammered in the front row and then there is a 50/50 call, you nearly always lose the call.
