  1. An 18 y o playing as an 8 in enzo’s formation ……. Don’t see it for someone who isn’t of a physical size - can’t see him having strong enough upper body strength for another year or two. He’s clearly worked on it but would expect to see him tried out wide unless enzo decides to have a fiddle in formation at some point when a game is safe and play a 10 or a false 9.
  2. It’s madness The club and arteta should be charged with bringing the game into disrepute
  3. As I understood it, one of the problems is that the auto offside system uses adidas balls and the PL ball is Nike sponsored. I would assume that Nike are working on this with the tech Co responsible for auto offside
  4. Haven’t you seen the furore over the past few weeks with the TMO. Plenty of unhappiness with inconsistency ? rugby is completely different to football - lots of longer natural breaks with set pieces the only thing they have better is the comms are available for us to hear having heard the referee audio from games I wonder if refs would find it easier if they wore a pair of headphones to take out all the crowd noise and players moaning
  5. If I was the MP for Tottenham then I wouldn’t want a base either!
  6. I did loads of freeze framing to see when the ball finally leaves joelintion after contact between him and Gabriel - Gordon was ahead of the ball by some distance given he wasn’t moving forwards quickly. I get that var don’t have an angle so don’t feel able to over rule an onside decision that the lino gave (I rarely have a problem with staying with the on field call because we shouldn’t have var). I’m just giving my opinion that I thought it was offside based on what I could see. arteta’s interviews should get him a charge - he’s an arse and deserves to be called out for his touchline shenanigans in any case
  7. Poor refereeing - you’ve nailed it with baldock getting straight back up. if the ref takes a second to think then he sees that and plays on - no one would discuss it afterwards. too many pens are called by the official too quickly - we used to say that you needed to be properly fouled to get a penalty - all these slight touches and down you go are dreadful. players are off balance - that’s their problem - they shouldn’t be rewarded for being off balance when there is the slightest contact with the defender. Baldock initiates the contact by putting his foot outside of the position required to keep possession - if anything when players do that they can be accused of obstructing the defender. It happens all over the pitch and I think if you don’t play the ball but you play the space between the ball and the defender to initiate contact then that should not be a free kick. Grealish and madders are experts at it. that’s not the same as getting your body in between the ball and your opponent to shield it. But a stretched out planted foot is not acceptable imo.
  8. Reckon it’s offside when it finally comes off joelintons thigh and drops to Gordon
  9. Suella wouldn’t understand the irony - she wants you as the poster boy for the policy
  10. there are a few people who do actually choose to live in a tent because tryigng to find somewhere with a proper roof over their heads is just too much to take on there are some refugees who have no choice but to live in tents but they are the vast minority braverman can find a few to prove her point- the Tory’s will continue to find stuff on the margins to try and make themselves look tough and appeal to part of the electorate. They are desperate
  11. I think we was 2 to 4 weeks behind alves so hopefully by early December we’ll see him play
  12. He was fine got the two big calls right in the first half seen a lot worse this season
  13. JJ set piece ?
  14. But not been behind looking as flat as this
  15. The flatness of the last two games continues
  16. There is a wide range of West Bank settlers - some are very religious who are non violent - others are quite clearly quite happy to just shoot first and not bother to ask any questions do you know how many Palestinians have been shot dead by settlers over the last month in the west bank ?? btw, Lebanon wouldn’t be handing out guns to hezbollah - Hezbollah are way better armed than the Lebanese army !
  17. Can anyone name an ‘advance’ over the millennia which hasn’t been both good and bad in its consequences ?
  18. They aren’t ‘accepting’ it - they have stated many times that settlements are illegal (and murders by settlers obvs equally so). You could certainly see it as terrorism if you wanted to. But then acknowledging it would lend equivalence to what Hamas is doing which they’d want to avoid doing because it doesn’t stack up. it’s pretty nuts to move into an area in occupied territory surrounded by people that vehemently dislike you and then claim you had to kill them because you thought they were going to attack you (often without any evidence). A lot of the settlers are ‘religious nut jobs’. It’s happening because of netenyahu’s ridiculous coalition and him having to pander to parties that demand settlers rights etc. Netenyahu is fighting this war on too many fronts - some would say primarily to keep himself out of prison which potentially makes some of his decisions questionable. he’ll defend himself on the basis that he has a war cabinet across party lines.
  19. I thought that was just part of growing up 😂
  20. Wonder if this could be like Everton last spring - a real basketball type game within the context of us trying to keep control
  21. It’s incredible isn’t it the tories were the similar in the 2000/2007 period where they’re persistently chose leaders who were effectively unelectable it’s not difficult- if you aren’t in govt then you can’t enact the policies that you believe in. corbyn could have made it into power if he’d ditched his principles for a couple of years ….
  22. Very much on this page we’ve seen many times this season that the opposition have not got the ability to turn openings into opportunities or opportunities into goals. This evening we face a number of prem quality players. They could easily expose our defensive weaknesses (which we are all aware of). on the other side of the coin, we know that we’ve got other gears to find and maybe a challenge such as Leeds will enable us to raise our game. expect a roller coaster ! Even if we are beaten, our brilliant start means that it only need be a blip (as per hull)
  23. Last two games have been quite a grind for us - missing wilf? we need to lift it again tomorrow
  24. Not sure was that high thought it was £38m more likely to have been £15m initial plus two instalments ??
  25. And what if there is a natural disaster somewhere in November M&S should have stood their ground over this nonsense but sadly no one does these days - the cost of having thousands of protesters attacking your head office in Paddington wharf on Saturday just isn’t worth it.
