It took us a while to find our feet at this level and, ultimately, that's what will likely seal our fate. Can't knock the fight we've shown over the last couple of months.

I've entered the ballots for the Ashes and it hit home what an advantage having a test ground gives you over the other counties. The main marketing tactic is to get you to buy a county membership to 'beat the ballot, with unprecedented demand'. Bet they've all made more than us on memberships due to that alone this year, never mind everything else that goes with it.

The fact that yesterday happened in the third tier is precisely why it's our worst ever result. We've been hammered in the second tier on numerous occasions.

Excellent news. He's come from absolutely nowhere, nailed down his place in the first team and, for me, he's been the pick of the academy lads so far this season.

Yep. Getting out of this one unscathed will be a good result. Season really hinges on beating Hampshire- having to play the top 3 over the last 4 games is tough going.

Obviously told him he's not in the club's plans and will rot in the reserves if he doesn't leave. Sort of thing we should have been doing a long time ago.

It's what we've been crying out for as a fanbase. I'm worried it could get too toxic for them to flourish and they'll all want out at the first opportunity.

The anger is more than justified after the last few years. In fact, people should be angrier. Problem is, it's completely the wrong people on the receiving end. Academy products (and probably Leicester fans) apprehensive about going over to the away end after a game in which they've been the best players on the park? Some of our fans are absolutely braindead.

I'm a lot more positive after that and actually quite enjoyed watching us- funny how people can perceive things completely differently. On another day, that's a fairly comprehensive and comfortable win. Joseph and Braybrooke were excellent. On the booing- very few of the ****s who got us into this mess are left now. We've got a team full of academy lads doing really well and for them to be subjected to that is, frankly, an absolute disgrace.
