  1. Worst performance of the season against, probably, the best team we've played (not that they needed to be tonight). Hopefully use it as a kick up the arse like we did the Hull result.
  2. We play well, we win. Same as every week.
  3. I'd forgotten about Praet and, realistically, he should be one of the best midfielders in the league will he be back by then?
  4. Obviously everyone can support the club how they want but, let's be honest, we don't see scenes like the ones after Winks' goal and at full time at pitch level very often these days and it was probably the result of the upper tier being sold first.
  5. Though at the same time, the fact that we still need to average that after the start we've made shows just how ridiculous it was that Reading actually did it in the first place.
  6. We basically need to average form which would see us pick up 99 points over the course of the season from this point. For this squad, it's doable...
  7. Great result against a good side. Will keep us on our toes and stop us getting complacent also. Best side we've played by a distance and we should have still had 3 or 4.
  8. Expecting us to improve and Sunlun to tire as the game goes on. Should start breaking through the press a bit more.
  9. Good job this ref is shite hey
  10. Watford in the play-offs turned that group into absolute animals. It created a mentality which meant that there was no way we were missing out on either the Championship or Premier League title. Weirdly, it wasn't the Man City game which made me think we could do it. We were still riding a wave at that point. It was Arsenal away- it hurt and felt like Watford, and knowing how that group reacted to crushing results, I think I knew they'd turn it into a positive.
  11. Possibly the soundest fanbase in the pubs before/after a game. But their forum is an absolute bin fire
  12. Sound in real life, an absolute bunch of weirdos online.
  13. They press high though, which is what Enzo's system is designed to dismantle.
  14. Forest also had a 95th minute winner chalked off for offside... Late, late action in my accumulator today also (Leeds, Middlesbrough, Portsmouth)
  15. It was all-consuming. All I could think about. It really was amazing but I can't say it was enjoyable at the time Has there ever been a club involved in a title race late on who knew they would never have another chance to do it? It's only been the 'big 6' involved in any other this century. In the 90s, Newcastle are big enough to challenge again, Blackburn had money and were already challenging. Norwich in 93? That was probably still in an era where mid-sized clubs could get close.
  16. I can just about live with WBA as it's still on a Saturday and not a nightmare to get to early doors, but Birmingham on a Monday is horrendous.
  17. Tough run of games we've got coming up- Leeds and Sunderland 2 of the better sides in the league, Swansea and Boro on good runs of form. If we've maintained or extended the gap between the others after the next 5 then we've done very well.
  18. Not a bad shout. 2 relegations, 1 promotion, highest league finish in 50 years and their 2nd ever trophy... all in the space of 3 and a half years. Mental. He didnt oversee a sharp decline like Rodgers did though- think he came in half way through a season when they were already struggling. They've surely had plenty worse.
  19. Thought this myself recently and tried to come up with another name in English football history who has a genuine case for being the best and worst manager a club has ever had, within the same stint- failed. Such a weird few years.
  20. We don't even get decent alcoholic beer.
  21. Oh behave. Textbook 'just take the booking' challenge after we played ourselves into trouble.
