  1. Yes, One of the things I read in signing Cooper was his abilty to bring young players through. Yet he's given none of them a chance and in fact it seems he want's to ship them all out on Loan. Leaving it to others to develop them. While standing over the signing of inferior players or players maybe for the future, When what we need is proven quality right now.
  2. Granted he needs to be given a chance to show what he can do. I know it's early days, but he doesn't look like he'a another Fofana in the little we've seen. So is he going to be another crap player filling up our squad and offering very little. When we alreadu had a promising player in Nelson already here. It just doesn't make sense what's going on at the Club presently.
  3. At least him or Vesty had he been on the pitch would have cleared the Ball for the first goal which started the collapse today. There's no logical reason why we signed anther CB with the number we already had. Anyone know what this new lad brings to the team. Is it leadership, Pace, Strength, Footballer or what.
  4. I would'nt be surprised if he did as Manager. But I'd really like him to come back as DOF and set the Club on the right path again.
  5. I cant disagree with a lot of what you say. Unfortunitely the Club has wasted so mcuh money in recent seasons and nobody accountable. NDiddi I think is playing for the money now more than the cause. He's a shadow of the player he once was. Winks will be targetted as he's the only midfielder who knows his position. We're lucky in that we'll have 2 of the best Wingers in the league if used properly, providing width and opportunities for the Strikers. You can't win Matches regularly without a proven striker and we don't have one other than Vardy. Cannon was useless when he came on and not good enough for this season. Cooper is no Enzo but he was experimenting again today as he's still trying to figure out what he has got in the squad. I would'nt be surprised if there's another friendly during the week, even behind closed doors. We've signed a few for the future when we need quality right now. To have any chance of survival we need a proven quality goal scorer. Personnally I'd go old school. Someone like Ulloa, Big strong and mobile, Good in the air and tidy on the ground. Who can also hold the Ball up and bring others into play while giving defenders a hard time. A strong midfielder who can play a bit but also dish it out to the opposition in challenges. A new LB to cover JJ although that new lad Oki could play there. But I'm not sure why we signed him with Nelson already in the squad. The first Month is crucial because we have some winnable games. If we don't it will be a total meltdown.
  6. The level of effort from most of the team today was unacceptable. Cooper needs to hand out a tongue lashing to many of those who played. In a strange way it may be the result that galvanises the team against Spurs next week. But leadership starts from the Manager and I have'nt seen enough from Cooper yet. He needs to get back to basics while he gets his idea's across to the players. Vesty looked our best player roday when he came on and I expect to see him start now against Spurs.
  7. I don't think I've seen us as bad as we were second half. I don't know what they were doing in Evian for a Week, It wasn't drinking Water. It's like the squad and Manager were sampling the finest French Wines or Cognac last night.
  8. This starts with the Manager playing players in their best positions. The time for experimenting is over now. We need everyone pulling to gether.
  9. I wouldn't read too much into it. I think it's a case of knowing what he brings and saving him for next week.
  10. Definitely not, O Neill could be quite flexible.
  11. More likely to Fall over the Ball.
  12. He has a big Ego, I just hope Cooper can get inside his head like Roy did and get the best from him. Exciting yes, Risky, Very. On the other hand, I'm not sure we need him with Mav doing so well on the left. I'd much prefer we sign a quality goal scoring Striker to add Goals as Goals make points.
  13. Fair enough that's your opinion and I respect that. He may develop further but only if he listens to the Coaches who's trying to help him.
  14. I hear what you are saying but they sold a few players recent including a CB to aresenal for 40 + million and they still haven't come back for him. Motto going to Juve might be the reason But Motto clearly doesn't want him at Juve either. He was another one of Rogers cock ups. I can't wait for season 25/26 until we get rid of all his rubbish signings.
  15. Well I was right again, That's our 3rd Manager and the Bologna Manager who refused to sign him who doesn't think Victor is good enough. Some of the Clowns on here trying to vilify me for stating what was obvious to me anyway. Though I do agree it is about opinions. I'm more than happy to go with JJ with the hope that we sign a quality LB either on loan or permanent before the Window closes. Thomas I feel a little sorry for because he showed great promise beofre his injury. He needs to play and so it's the best decision for all concerned that he goes and plays elsewhere.
  16. We've needed someone like this a few seasons now. So I will be delighted if we get him quickly.
  17. Yes, I think he'll do a decent job in difficult circumstances, Whether that's good enough or not remains to be seen. If he can keep us up that will be amazing given the quality of the squad he has to work with. Next season can be so much better if we can just stay up this season.
  18. You both could be right. I just think the Premiership could suit him better where he would'nt be up against tightly packed defenses and his tight control could work in our favour.
  19. It seems like they just want rid of him. He wasn't the worst siging we've made in recent seasons. He'd be a decent signing for little money this season, At least he knows the Club.
  20. Unless we make a few late signings this is what I think is the line up we'll go with. Okoli could be left out until he sees a Premership game or two as he's likely to be a risk not knowing the league. It's a pity about Vesty's pace as he'd be certainty to start. Hermansen Ricardo Coady Okoli Justin Winks Ndidi Fatawu Reid Mavididi Daka/Vardy
  21. I doubt he's on a big wedge which is probablt why he's attractive to us. We're really signing him for his potential a bit like Cannon. Lets hope he does better here with less competition and pressure on him. Could be a big payday if he makes the grade here eventually. But he's going to need games and time like Cannon. I'm not sure we have the lattitude for either this season. Oddly enough I think him and Cannon could make a good pairing down the line. We need a proven goal scorer right now to relieve the pressure on Vardy who clearly can't play every game.
  22. People shouldn't read too much into preseason games. They're for conditioning of players, getting them up to match fitness working on formations, Educating players on what's expected from them in their position with and without the Ball. To also try players out in different positions to see how they perform there. But also for players to develop an understanding of what the requirements in other positions are and develop a broader understanding of the game as a whole. I do believe Cooper is a good Coach but a few things worry me. 1. He want's even more players, when he should be saying I want a first team squad of 16 to 18. The rest are squad fillers. Here's a list of those who are surplus to requirements. Then use any income from there Sales to improve the quality of the squad further in the next Window. 2. Anytime I see him he standing with his hands in his pockets, Not a good look. I cant rever emember seeing O'Neill, Ranieri or Pearson do it. You can be close to players but they have to know who the Boss is and not just literally. Succesful teams usually have a settled 14 to 15 regulars which each one of them knowing whats expected of them when coming on to play. Yes if your the big Clubs challenging in Europe etc you may need a couple more players, But we're not challenging for anything more important than surival. To his credit he did get the better of the Forest sqaud and saved them from relegation. So anything is possible. Maresca's squad is still mainly intact and so all I feel was really needed was to replace KDH with a Quality midfielder and sign a quality Striker.Maybe a mobile CB. Then continue Enzo's work with a few tweaks where he see's the need too. Like going long sometimes when a pass is on. If only to keep the opposition from compressing us in our own box. He has a big 2 weeks coming up as I'd expect to see Players starting in their best positions and to see our Starting team against Spurs playing in the last Friendly against Lens. There's a lot to get right before kickoff and unlike Enzo he has had the time with the players to know his best team and formations etc. So no excuses. Lets hope he can work a similar kind of magic as Enzo and keep us up.
  23. Enzo used full backs just in a different manner that was part of the genius of the Man. As to pro football, I spent a lifetime in the game as a professional. Now your beginning to see the light. Why didn't he knuckle down and do what many others have done and proved the Manager wrong. He's not meant to be a supporter he's a Leicester player full stop, Of course he signed for money and career progression. Is that not what every player signs for. ? Yet, despite being a rookie he knew more than the Manager. You can only do that if you have the Talent to back it up and he hasn't shown us anything nearly good enough. On such decisions careers are made or lost. Ronaldo, Harry Kane, Vardy, KDH comes to mind. That's why you stay and prove people wrong. Or you wimp out which is what I believe he chose to do. I've seen all kinds of players ruin good careers for all kinds of reasons. Clearly no one else wants him so I hope he knuckles down work hard and shows what he's made off,. Though we'll have to wait and see how he progresses against two old timers in JJ and Ricky.
  24. He's supposed to be doing what's best for Leicester not himself, That's why we signed him. If you can't see that you know little about pro football.
  25. He did use full backs but played them in an advanced position to support attacks, But to also defend when out of possession and under pressure. Doyle, Ricky and JJ. He was part of the Denmark squad and we know how that turned out. Against better opposition he fail miserably. I could well be, But I'm yet to be convinced by him from what I've seen. I think he'll be found out quickly but we'll see.
