£30 million not that great and Leicester now incredibly thin in central midfield. Upsetting that it is a Leicester lad leaving that has been with the club for so long. However wish him all the best let’s hope the club has a plan beyond balancing the books
-
So Chelsea want to offload a couple of players that Enzo doesn’t rate to negotiate a big discount. I’d rather risk another few points deduction to be honest than be bullied into something we don’t want. How many additional points would KDH add if we kept him. A fair few.
-
I’d rather take the cash than some sort of deal heavily stacked in Chelsea’s favour. Hopefully the club are not as desperate as it seems when you listen to stories coming from Brighton and Chelsea about swaps. Surely Leicester have their own list of targets
-
I think Potter might be looked at favourably be the players with his achievements at Brighton and make it less likely that there will be too many lost over the summer. The tweet from Romano is a bit vague at the end personally I would doubt he would be turned down by the club unless demands are way too high.
-
I wonder if this might turn out to be a loan move looking at the future. At some point I think a major signing is going to be needed to ensure Leicester have someone that can hit the ground running from day 1. If the club is unable to go that due to financial constraints will be tough going particularly if Wilf etc get a better offer
-
Pleased to see he has done well with the Stags who had a great season with a decent manager. I’m guessing more like 50 thousand then 50 million though

It was only a couple of years back when we had the FA cup winners special edition season ticket which I still have. Now it has gone digital by default. Maybe if the physical ticket was the default and a small discount of perhaps 1% was applied to mobile users it would have felt less like a fine of £25 to keep your card.

Leicester have WBA and then Southampton close together. Definitely the time to start with some different players such as Cannon and Albrighton and then bring Vardy and Fatawu after an hour to keep the energy going. Like others I would love an additional striker up front such as Iheanacho to give the opposition a bit more to worry about. At the moment the choices seem predictable the manager has his preferred players even if some are tired or out of form then run out of steam. Other teams need to face some unexpected because they have a plan that unfortunately works too often
-
Albrighton perhaps best option but not in the squad. Don't have the greatest headers of the ball either. Leicester don't seem to have any training routines for corners like the one Norwich caught us with. It all seems very predictable possession but little end product.
-
His goal was the moment of the match. Fantastic precision finish then great celebration with KDH, Winks, Daka etc plus the corner flag. He then just stared into the Kop soaking up the applause.
-
Must use the squad. Game management becoming a real problem. Against Ipswich we we leading in both games and they brought on a few players and turned it around whilst we hung on.Today well on top but becoming tired and frustrated crying out for changes before we conceded

Bristol City 1 - 0 LCFC Post Match Thread
Edingleyfox replied to KingsX's topic in Leicester City Forum
Pattern of burning out late in matches not helped by not freshening up early enough.Of course on another day could have won 3 0 but this is happening so often everyone going to be frustrated -
I just thought yesterday we needed a bit of experience like Albrighton to come in. For half an hour you know you will get a few decent crosses and he will track back when needed.
-
Confidence must be low after conceding so many late goals such as against Leeds Coventry and Ipswich. I also think that planned substitutions leaving one or two game changing first 11 players on the bench would help. All the strikers need a chance given the number of missed opportunities.
-
Kelechi may be on the shortlist of a few clubs is that enough to get concerned?. Do we really know if there is a £20 million valuation or is that more guess work? I know any player has a price but it would have to be something out of the ordinary to lose a player that is leading the forward line. I'm sure the club is anticipating offers and I am confident discussions with the player have already taken place. We don't want last minute departures in key roles.

Lack of goals from Strikers.....a concern?
Edingleyfox replied to foxfanazer's topic in Leicester City Forum
Great assist by Kelechi yesterday and against Cardiff he was superb in the first half and only the woodwork kept him out. He will be fine. Agree that the combination with Vardy could work however having Jamie coming on fresh with 20 mins to go has been too much for teams in this division so I think the current arrangement is working. -
No. There is an article in yesterdays Mail on line with very little in the way of detail and a suggestion that Akgun is his replacement!
-
I'm not too disappointed assuming of course that Kel stays at the club. If he is playing every week and the club is in a promotion place there is perhaps limited attraction of going to Palace etc. Let us hope that discussions have already taken place to extend his contract long enough to get something back next year if the club fails to get promoted. I think the next week is going to be a bit tense making sure that Leicester keep the core players needed to go straight back to the premier league.
-
I think this season is a great opportunity for KDH to become the main man in midfield, add goals to his stats and get us promoted. It would be very unwise to let him go as the club is already so short of attacking midfielders and I don't believe the manager would agree to it. In any case he is a local lad and I don't think that if he is playing every week and enjoying his football he will be looking to leave anytime soon
-
If we could get Piroe it would make a statement that we are going all out for promotion and I think it would seriously improve morale. However strikers need service from midfield and after the first 15 minutes today that was lacking and needs addressing as well. Just hope these are all areas that will be looked at and that we don't simply try to make do or try people out of position. Of course we have to be realistic and I don't know how much of the Maddison/Barnes fund is available
-
Would have thought money would have been better spent getting another winger in and perhaps a few reality check games against Notts County, Lincoln, Mansfield etc rather than these celebrity exhibition matches. There is not a lot of time to waste before Leicester really have to put in a performance against Coventry
-
I'd be happier if there was some confidence that the club can recruit a couple of decent wingers. Every year Leicester get someone in on loan and it doesn't work out looking for another Mahrez. The exception was Lookman but no agreement was struck and he has gone on to do very well in Italy. I'm pretty sure Newcastle will have a punt with Barnes just waiting to see what sort of derisory offer they start with
-
Wingers look like the main issue at the club. I don't know if the club is waiting on Barnes but surely we need another winger in any case. I'd be concerned if Iheanacho left and would want Piroe in if that is likely and perhaps get him at the same time. There are a lot more games in the championship and I don't think I would want to rely on Vardy and Daka alone.
-
If Newcastle can spend £55 million on a player they can surely find £40m for Barnes. However, it wouldn't surprise me at all if they go in at £25m. West Ham should have a bit of money soon so hopefully we can get a bidding war. However I'm concerned about the number of proven goal scorers that appear to be on the way out with no concrete links on incoming strikers/wingers etc

Expectations now for the new season?
Edingleyfox replied to VegasFoxes's topic in Leicester City Forum
I'd like to see some evidence of some more attacking players coming in before I make a judgement. I can't help feeling that selling Iheanacho would be a mistake but if he really wants to leave we have to accept it. We have struggled to recruit wingers in the premiership and we could soon find that Barnes is off. Lets hope we have positive news about Piroe etc rather than this fire sale of our best assets.
