I cannot say I'm hugely envious of these signings but new faces with a bit of quality does improve morale. Ipswich do look like they have plans in place and the recruits are all relatively young which should enable them to bounce back if the worst happens. It is vital that Leicester try to do something similar with at least one statement signing to give everyone a lift

Remember seeing Chilwell in a pre season friendly at Mansfield in 2015 and I couldn't get over how confident he was. I think he is a decent player if he remains fit. PS Pre-season 2015/16 strikers were Vardy, Nugent, Okazaki, Ulloa and Kramaric. No wonder we did well.

In the scheme of things not sure that £10 m on Szmodics is such as gamble as his wages would be on the lower side compared to ex Premiership players. Anyway be very surprised if it happens. Would rather spend £10m on Hamer (again before Ipswich do) because I think that central area is a massive weakness and I am assuming Hlozek goes ahead.
-
Well if Leicester just pick up a couple of players they need to be better than what we have and be creative/ goal scoring or both. Need somebody to strike a bit of fear in the opposition. Hlozek is one and surely an attacking midfielder that can break the lines. Fotis surely too pricey. Be more than happy with Szmodics, Hamer etc . Just want the squad to feel a bit stronger than last year and inject a bit of confidence

Football Insider say Leicester leading race for him.. Tier 4 evidence perhaps
-
Leicester probably won’t buy him because he is unproven in the Premiership. The Sun quoted £8.5 million plus add ons for goals and survival etc..I’ve been impressed with him
-
Leicester really need a marquee signing such as Zaha plus a proven CAM and striker. Morale and confidence is clearly low going to be massive psychologically to get this done

Getting a bit crazy with wingers fighting for game time hope Leicester still on course for Hlozek -
8-9m Euros probably £7.5 million for the year sounds a lot to begin with. But the Lens defeat really brought home the fact that the club needs game changers more than just squad players brought in for back up. So I'm in agreement with this. Still think another striker and CAM is needed

Well I feel sorry for the lad. He got 20mins the other day when the team was being battered midfield supply was non existent etc. I also think given Vardy’s injury and Daka not scoring he could have been looked at earlier .Maybe he is not good enough but players need to know his strengths. Watching him against Huddersfield last year and clips of his 8 goals on loan convinced me there is some talent and finishing ability.

Surely the first question is whether the player would be interested in moving to Leicester England. If so then start the bidding. No time for the Soule fiasco or silly bids that will irritate the club as you say
-
Ipswich wanted him earlier in the window and bid over £20 million I think and they wanted a lot more. Looks good but would he come to Leicester - I suppose Theo Zagorakis could put a good word in for us perhaps!
-
I think Leicester need someone who is either a proven goal scorer at top level or a bit different to what we have. Watching yesterday the team was bullied Daka looked a bit lightweight and I'd like a big centre forward than can hold the ball up etc. Not sure Fofana would be ideal profile need another Leonardo Ulloa from 10 years ago. Still needed the great escape even with him in the side.!

Really miss having KDH as an outlet. Just looking at the team sheet looks like 8 defensive players and that how it played out. However physically could not compete or string anything together. Cannon has to come on because whether the manager rates him or not he cannot go out on loan if Vardy and Daka are injured. Needs those 3-4 signings as soon as possible but I don't think even Zaha could turn this around unless we invest in a quality CAM or two

Who do you want for next season in the PL

Scored excellent goal last night. Just wonder if there isn't enough in the kitty to fund this -
Brilliant. I was thinking about Speedie and Claridge who were both in their early 30s and came in and did a great job.
-
Didn’t think he would come to Leicester he has better options . Are we linked to any attacking central midfielders? Seem to have been linked to just about every other role

Precisely. Need to be realistic.Leicester can’t take on top half premiership wages or waste time on negotiations -

I am lost as to what is happening. Different links falling down at the final hurdle. I look at other similar clubs and they at least seem to have some sort of focus and realism even if their signings are not stunning. The links to random wingers or strikers second choice for top premier league teams but still on big unaffordable wages seems so futile. There doesn’t seem a lot of research before getting involved all a bit scattergun IMO. Personally I’d look at the best of the Championship players to sort midfield out such as Hamer, James etc etc rather than getting caught in no mans land with the finances -
If money is a tight as the article suggests it might be reasonable to look around. I’m more concerned about replacing KDH which I had thought would have been the top priority. We can see that is going to be £20m plus looking at recent links
-
Option to buy is OK but obligation surely unwise at best for player still unproven at Premier league
-
Perhaps cheap loan plus £10 to 12m for Hamer. Apologies can see someone had already suggested something similsr
-
I am getting nearer the panic stage because the recruitment just seems a bit random Including a central defender and links to multiple wingers. It may be that Leicester cannot attract a quality attacking midfielder and striker but I’m worried that we are going to end up with a bloated squad but weaker first 11

Surely Leicester could compete for Rowe deal not done and dusted
