  1. So far in this window Leicester have made generous offers for 2 players whilst selling Madders cheaply. Strikers are rarely sold at a discount and surely the finances don’t force a sale at this price. I’d be inclined to get another striker in start pre season and see what offers come in
  2. Having seen Madders go cheaply I wouldn’t accept less than £50 million cash for him. Forget add ons and a pathetic offer. We need to be adding wingers not selling and he would probably get 15 goals plus in Championship. He did well for WBA but he is a far better player now
  3. I have renewed (and kept my season card) but I think that a number of people that have found it difficult to attend games for different reasons will stand down this year. I would guess that most members will get a ticket for next season if they want one
  4. I think Top needs to get advice from someone outside the club. Major restructure and rethink required Just don't think the players look fit judging by the way performance levels drop late on in games and this has been the difference on so many occasions. Better communication with the fans to keep everyone feeling a part of the club and generating a positive atmosphere even in difficult times
  5. The question is how we go from 8 at the back to beating West Ham. I’ll make a judgement after the weekend but not convinced that we have seen the right balance in recent games particularly in midfield
  6. I remember thinking after the 1 0 defeat at home to Arsenal in Feb with barely a shot on goal that the confidence had gone and we were in defensive mode. So frustrating after the Spurs game just before and seeing Forest win yesterday
  7. He has his critics but his work rate has been missed in recent weeks. We need that determination we just don’t have enough steel. Reminds me of the Albrighton situation in great escape season who was overlooked for a long time
  8. Need a bit of belief along with some grit and determination particularly in the central midfield area. I don't think the balance of the team has been right in any of the recent games. Somehow Leicester got away with playing 3 strikers and only 2 in the centre against Wolves but I remember it was only when KDH came on that we looked to have any control. Most important to keep heads up whatever setbacks occur. It is a tall order against Newcastle who are pretty relentless this season.
  9. Agree re Souttar given the size and physical presence of the Newcastle strikers. I cannot see Evans being dropped. I think Mendy and KDH could work but I doubt that the manager will move the selection that far but it hasn't been working with the others we are way too open.. Certainly we need players that can track back and defend when necessary and I think they could do that. Iheanacho would be great because it gives the goalkeeper someone to aim at that can potentially hold the ball up and press a bit. Barnes in place of Kristiansen.
  10. I'll renew but I would like better communication as to the direction the club is going even if it is bad news.
  11. I think the problem was changing the manager without a plan B. It was all done quite late in the day and with nobody in mind whilst key games came and went. Certainly it worked at Palace and I think you could see the influence big Sam had at Leeds the other day but time may be too short for him.
  12. The reworking of Wednesday nights under the lights with various championship venues was pretty decent. The atmosphere and performance was good at the start. I think when the 3rd goal went in that was more than enough for most people.
  13. I find the article in the Telegraph muddled in itself, with all the distractors about horse racing etc. I'd rather concentrate on football until tomorrow night at the very least
  14. Agree midfield does seem an issue we seem to be bypassed so easily. Surprised yesterday that we bought Daka on to replace Ndidi. We looked a lot stronger when KDH came on recently just to provide some strength and energy to carry the ball forward and put tackles in particularly against a physical side.
  15. We are going to be wide open there is almost no midfield. Don’t understand why Mendy overlooked again. Some decent players dropped and unproven ones brought in for a crunch game. Massive risk IMO
  16. Iheanacho needs to start IMO he will always get you something. Soyuncu looked OK and Thomas put a shift in. Need positive approach going forward best form of defence is attack I think!
  17. Really worried about the final score here and the impact on the already minimal confidence. Just like to see us have a go and give the fans something to shout about even it the result is 6-3 like last year.
  18. I think that the strong squad on paper has led to the complacency this year that everything will be alright in the end. The other problem has been that several players have been considered not good enough but because we have been unable to move them on it has prevented new blood from coming in. Therefore last summer's refresh was a non-event and Kasper left with barely a whisper. Injuries haven't helped and the frustration expressed early in the season with lack of investment must impact on the players thoughts about the direction of travel.
  19. Sounds like the club is still thinking about whether to go for Marsch (Rob Tanner).
  20. I think at this stage of the season it is perhaps more about who can motivate and inject a bit of confidence into the team than anything else. Did Leicester not have a sports psychologist at one stage - IMO after so many last minute defeats you need someone like that.
  21. I think an experienced fresh pair of eyes would be so useful on Saturday even if they were just sat in the stands. I am surprised how little is happening but of course it might be that negotiations are going on. It would be so sad if the club is allowed to drift into the Championship without evidence of any sort of a plan.
  22. I really think we need to sort out an interim appointment this week. Perhaps if there had been an immediate bounce last night I may have waited. The problem is that the more grim the situation gets the less likely anyone is going to want to come in and risk relegation on their CV. The whole season has rested on a feeling that the squad is good enough and somehow we will turn this around with no thought about a plan B.
  23. Bournemouth are not a bad team and I suspect have been playing better than Leicester listening to some recent reports. Our record against them is not the best. Most importantly IMO is to play our own game and not setting up purely as a defensive unit which it feels like recently. If you are on the back foot for most of the game you will concede - inevitably mistakes will be made. We will miss KDH but can win if we play positively and don't let our heads drop when there is some sort of a setback. I really think we need someone in before the weekend to take some control because need fresh ideas on and off the pitch. I would like the physical presence of Iheanacho up front - last night we didn't win anything in the air from goal kicks and I think he could hold the ball up and link with Maddison who surely needs to play centrally.
  24. I would be surprised if Potter is not considered. Failure at Chelsea doesn't mean a huge amount IMO and he did well at Brighton without a lot of money which will appeal to the board. I should imagine he might want a rest rather than going from the frying pan into the fire!
