How dare she comment on what things are like in our city. She's just trying to drive a wedge between communities in an area where, largely, I'd say multiculturalism has been a success. Playing up to a certain voter, trying to win a manufactured culture war. I say that as a straight, white male, so obviously there will be a huge number of experiences of which I'm completely unaware. There will surely be victims of racial harassment and hate crimes on this forum. And, even in my own narrow experience, I've witnessed flashpoints between different communities and I've heard people of my own ethnicity utter racial slurs thinking that they were in a 'safe' place to do so. But, from what I've seen, people of different ethnicities and backgrounds in Leicester generally tend to come together and live alongside each other in relative harmony. When I lived in the city, I used to work in teams consisting of people either from - or with heritage from - places including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Poland, the Caribbean and Ghana. I often think about some of the laughs we had at team meals, playing football together, etc. I grew up with friends at school from many different backgrounds. Braverman is wrong about Leicester. She's just parroting Laurence Fox and his ilk while knowing nothing about what she's talking about, jumping on the troubles in Highfields recently and applying broad brushstrokes, trying to comment about the entire city 100% of the time. She's wrong. Our city isn't perfect but it is incredible.

Ricardo goes left and tucks into midfield from there. Faes stays on the right of the back three. And the other two positions are any two out of Justin, Vestergaard, Coady, Souttar and Nelson. Not ideal to have Vestergaard, Coady or Souttar on the left of a back three but I guess needs must? Unless Faes can play the LCB role if one of the above would be more suited to the RCB role?

Frustratingly for a midweek game this is either Foxes Hub or a stream isn't it?

I've previously thought Hamza's time here was done but I was very impressed with him against Norwich and think he definitely has a role to play in this squad. But he's definitely no Ricardo. As well as he did, he just can't progress the ball as well as Ricky, either through passing or carrying the ball. Hamza's recoveries are brilliant, much better than Ricky's, but if we're going to move the ball quickly and pass around teams who are trying to press or go man for man, Ricardo is 100% the first choice in the inverted full-back role for me.

Absolutely magnificent

I think I saw a stat last night that Norwich were first in terms of headed goals this season. Seems like we've come a long way since that Cov game as we defended like Trojans aerially last night.

Any coincidence that Vestergaard appears to have stepped up as Coady has started making the bench? Of course it could also be that he's now up to speed after playing several games in a row following a huge stint out, and he's also becoming more used to the style of play. Or a combination of all those things.

Hoping Enzo will be absolutely furious with this performance by Iheanacho. I like him generally but when he presents himself as an out ball, loses it and throws his arms in the air, it has all the hallmarks of getting hooked at half-time

Impressed with Mavididi continually winning those high balls

Haha get in Kasey!

My Sky signal is intermittent as well. Must be the weather.

You know what, he's turned Ndidi into a roving #8, maybe Enzo can give Hamza a new lease of life here too. Looking forward to see how this rotation plays out.

Yunus as the 8 as he's a left-footer? With a possibility that he and McAteer might swap position at times?

The first ever winners of the football league in 1889, when they also won the FA Cup, being the first club to do the Double. They then won the league again in 1890 and never since. They haven't been in the top tier since 1961. It'd be brilliant to see Preston finally make it back to the top level after knocking on the door on a few occasions in the last 20 years or so. As long as it doesn't come at our expense, of course

I admit it's been a bit of a surprise seeing him come through and perform so well in these first few games of the season. The thing is, sometimes you just don't know how a player is going to react when given a chance to step up and play with and against much better players than he previously has done before. Obviously he doesn't look the finished article but he's risen to the challenge really well. Compare even his miss against Coventry to his finish against Southampton. He's performing well at this level and improving game on game. Plus he's constantly making the right runs. I can't tell you the amount of times I've seen analysis on Match of the Day where strikers are too isolated and moves are breaking down too easily or defenders can get back. McAteer is making intelligent runs at the right moment and supporting his left-sided and central attackers well. Long may it continue.

He looked off it for most of the time he was on imo. Just a yard slower physically and mentally. He just didn't get up to speed until towards the end of the game when he showed some neat footwork in possession and retained possession well. Hard to expect a young player to be completely on top form playing three games a week, he'll need to be managed well. And it's great that Ndidi is showing promise in his new role so there's less pressure on Casadei to perform. He'll be the bee's knees when he's properly bedded in.

To me, it looks like he has so much ability. He can beat a man, face them down, has good ball control, is quick, has a trick or two, knows when to pass or dribble during the build-up phase, can drop a shoulder, can roll his man, is strong, can cut inside and go on the outside and clearly backs himself to score goals. I just think he often has a bit of a weak shot and sometimes his shooting technique lets him down. Also he should've squared the ball on three times, including for the goal he did score, which could have resulted in one or two more goals based on the quality of the chances. It'll be interesting to see if he takes things on himself in tighter games and what the reaction will be if he misses. Now I don't think he's in the following player's bracket by any means, but Mo Salah has always needed a lot of chances to put goals away. But Liverpool have always created a lot during Salah's time there. Sometimes even Salah's finishing is absolutely baffling. So, I'm willing to cut Mavididi a bit of slack because if we can keep creating he will get more goals. Plus, his movement, skill and passing also created Vardy and Ndidi's goals. He could do with a bit of refinement - and he will frustrate at times - but he could end up being an incredible signing for this level.

Great leaders allow other leaders to shine. I want to be wary of criticising Rodgers for absolutely everything but this decline happened under him. He came in as the big "I am" saying how the players constantly had to learn. But he ripped the leadership qualities out of the squad and replaced them with yes men. There needs to be a balance, of.course. Those who follow rather than lead are just as needed, but with no leaders on the pitch we were rudderless last season. It's very refreshing to hear a manager saying that he needs stronger characters. Those characters will inevitably challenge him on things, and it's those conversations that lead to hitherto undiscovered solutions. Communication and collaboration. It's how great teams win things.

The takeaway for me: join a union and oppose the criminalisation of protest. I'm lucky my employer has been very good in the 11 years I've been with them but I do wish I had a union in my industry.

Can you imagine Alan Carr and Sindhu Vee on the same show? The difference in style and energy would be hilarious. Vic Reeves as well (in the legends category). I'm fascinated as to how Sue Perkins will do in this series in comparison to Mel Giedroyc way back when. It would be the same comparing Vic with Bob.

Bringing out a comedy 'legend' every now and again, such as Julian Clary in the upcoming series, is interesting. In that vein, I'd like to see them bring Lee Evans out of retirement. Pure chaotic energy. Or for pure box office, Peter Kay would be fascinating. McKenzie Crook would be interesting too. Also Bridget Christie has been on if you remember? When she tried to do a normal walk, that was a particular highlight, as was when she was trying to find the maypole but kept walking into fences.

Only listened to one episode of Second Tier and was disappointed. Just seemed a little boring. And now I'm even more disappointed after seeing some of these weird takes and that it's a Stak podcast. I normally like a lot of their output. I've not listened to all of them (and Sports Horn is a real lowlight) but it is quite frustrating to know that Second Tier belongs to the same stable as the guys behind Football Ramble, On the Continent and Upfront, all top football podcasts imo.
