Just so those who keep tagging me in the Rohl and New Manager threads are aware...I can't currently post on either thread so as a result of that I shall be keeping shtum!

At the end of the day, if we really wanted Dyche or Wilder they would already be here by now.

Like I said, deal looked done, both us and Rohl want it and we were paying the fee. Expected an imminent announcement but clearly the Legal issues with Rohl and Wednesday are causing a delay - i don't know the ins and outs of those issues but nobody is expecting Rohl to still be on Sheffield Wednesday books at this point so there's clearly some sort of technicality which is causing everyone a nightmare. If Rohl gets out of his contract, he's here, its as simple as that. I think everyone would have assume it wouldn't be this hard to get him out of Sheffield, what else can I say. This is the now modern murky world of football - look at us and the BCGame shit - dodgy legal issues seems to be the thing now.

It's just ridiculous if we are quibbling over a couple of Mill with the money we've spent on absolute garbage recently. This club is always, always looking to do everything on the utter cheap except when it comes to buying players and paying their ridiculous wages.

We've been talking to Rohl for ages - the club want him, he wants to be here, i don't know what the hold up is but clearly its either us being tight and banking originally that Wednesday would end up having to release Rohl for nothing or at least assuming that it wasn't going to be this messy contractually. I said I'd been told we'd been speaking to Rohl for 10 days and we were willing to pay the release clause, not my problem if one or other party is dragging heels or Lawyers are getting involved. He's still our man - clearly putting names like Wilder in the mix to force things along. If anything it looks more like Wednesday are dragging things along than us this time. Do you really think even what the higher ups say at the club is full-proof - for instance, telling RVN he'd have money to spend etc etc. The clubs hierarchy is clearly full of liars and bullshitters. My man isn't lying, he's passing on what he knows - number 1 target is Rohl, we've held talks for ages, club was willing to pay release clause, pretty much done. Is it bombproof, evidently not, did anyone expect Rohl to still be in Sheffield at this point regardless of us having seen what's going on there with players handing in their notices, no, they didn't.

I suggest Rohl buys his contract out sharpish because it looks like we are being tighfisted. Happy to spend £25m on Skipp, but £2m for a manager, nah.

Imagine wanting Rohl and ending up with Wilder.

And I stand by it, from what I've been told. He's the only candidate and its all timing. I trust the person that told me. If it doesn't happen, I'm sure I'll face the wrath.

Well it seems I can't post in the Rohl thread so either somebody isn't happy with what I'm saying or someone is upset its being said.

Just finished Dept Q. Easily, easily the best 'COP drama' for a very, very long time and easily the best thing I've seen on TV this year. Characters were absolutely ****ing fantastic.

One of the first games I went to as a kid was Wednesday at home. I couldn't believe the amount of travelling fans, especially the amount all clobbered up and ready for a scrap Decent club, decent fans. Proper traditional club, ground and fanbase.

Gotta feel sorry for Owls fans. What a shitshow.
