Yeah, I reckon he's probably had a skinful, got into some altercation, then got in his car - perhaps people have tried to stop him driving off as they've noticed he's legless and it's led to where we are at. Completely inexcusable - shouldn't have been in the car, shouldn't have been on that road, shouldn't mow people down even in a panic. He's going to go down for a very long time.

have you seen the earlier video's that were released last night though - before he started driving into anybody? He had clearly had some sort of altercation and as a result people were battering his car - then someone put his back window through - then he went on to do what he did. Nobody is suggesting its excusable in any way but there is clearly more here than meets the eye. Theres a voice clip doing the rounds that suggests he had come out of hooters and potentially got into some sort of fist fight before getting in his car.

Sounds like the driver might have been in some sort of altercation before hand, latest video shows a group of blokes trying to smash the car up before eventually putting the back window through. My guess is driver has panicked and flawed it to try and get away - clearly idiotic in a road full of pedestrians but this kind of thing has happened before. Awful no matter the circumstances.

Not really talking about indigenous peoples who lives wholly depend on fishing - they aren't the biggest consumers in the overfished areas - that's greedy westerners. Sustainability in fishing is an absolute myth, as proven by SeaSpiracy - how John West survived that documentary I'll never know, but putting words like 'sustainably sourced' or 'responsibly sourced' on tins of tuna should be illegal, because not a single gram of tuna is sustainably or responsibly sourced. Same with 'Dolphin Friendly'. Fish farming - take a look at Scottish Salmon - absolutely horrendous and I wouldn't each that stuff if it was the last thing on earth. The actual fish is grim thanks to disease and lice and the environmental impacts are pretty disastrous too, and that's before we get onto the culling of seals etc to protecting farmed stock - a common concept on land now seemingly taking steps in the sea too - KILL EVERYTHING WHICH POTENTIALLY THREATENS OUR FOOD.

The only way to save the Ocean is to ban fishing and stop eating fish. If we thought the issues on land were bad, the sea is in a far, far, far worse state. The number of deadzones is growing rapidly - in real terms the sea's are already empty.
