I think the strangest thing about Ayew and Justin starting is that Ayew AND Justin are starting. Surely if you have a more defensive forward like Ayew, you can afford to have a more attacking FB, or vice versa. If you have a defensive FB like JJ, a more attacking threat like Fatawu makes sense. Having both defensive options start against Everton seems unnecessary.

Just hoping and praying that we don't concede isn't something a PL manager should be opting for, not from the 50th minute anyway. He got it wrong, pure and simple. Whether it was Coady making a silly error or someone turning off at the back post, the chances of it happening are much higher if you just invite pressure for a whole half without doing anything to combat it.

No. Like I said in a previous comment, just praying we can hold on for 40 minutes instead of working out and addressing why we were being tactically humped isn't worthy of any credit. Had we won that game, it would have been in spite of Cooper, not because of him.

We tried to see the game out for the last 40 MINUTES! We were being completely over run, never looked like scoring and the equaliser was a formality! Yet, Cooper didn't address it in any way what so ever! Just praying we can hold on isn't a viable tactical gameplan.

Cooper is pathetic. Anyone with eyes could see that, that equaliser had been coming from the 50th minute onward and he done absolutely nothing to change it. Then two like for like subs in the 70th odd minute, again not addressing the tactical issue and just hoping to hold on until finally going even more defensive and bringing on another CB. I wasn't totally against him coming in but he's an absolute clown!

He's spineless! Absolute coward! We were getting hammered all half and instead of changing it tactically he went like for like with his sups and hoped we could hold on before going even more defensive.

It's quite amusing as a Scotsman watching the reactions in here... Players played in their strongest positions, playing good football, winning... you lot don't know what to do with yourselves, do ya? The urge to find something to moan about is reducing some to criticising players for not celebrating enough!

People have zero attention spans either way. Like you said, when we won the league we were the darlings of world football yet how many of those people still care? When we sacked Ranieri, we were hated, people no longer care. This will be the same, in a month's time, no one will care either way except from the fans of teams like Forest/Coventry/Derby etc who ironically enough CLAIM to not care.

Fossehub basically watched the talksport interview with their "expert" saying we COULD still get a deduction this season IF we broke rules last year and has translated that into we are likely looking at one for breaching rules last season.

There was no ambiguity in the rules. The question was whether or not, given how the rules were written, they could punish us for breaking them and it was found that they couldn't. It's actually a little embarrassing to consider that when the PL wrote the rules on FFP, it never crossed their mind that a team would be so inept and poorly run that they would breach PSR and still be relegated. We showed them!

We DID break the rules! We just used ambiguity in the wording of those rules to escape punishment. It's the equivalent of commiting a crime in this country then moving to a non extradition country before the charges are filed.

So basically, because we were so sh!t at breaking FFP, we can't be punished for breaking FFP. It's beautiful in a way.
