Nah. John Lundstrum is a decent player and will be an excellent addition to a top Championship club. Ryan Jack is made of biscuits and is not PL standard even on his best day. Barasic is over-rated due to his good deliveries into the box but is caught in more bad positions than George Michael and Roofe has really REALLY terrible hair.
-
Hahaha. Yup, that's the one.

Austin Mcphee is who I'd be going for. Set pieces essentially got Scotland to the Euros and Villa have the 4th highest goals from set pieces in the league despite being one of the smallest teams. Whether he'd come or not is a different matter.

An old-school homophobic, sexist chain-smoker who chews cigarette butt's on touchline.... Gerriminn!!!

I think there is a time and place for attractive football. Last season, we really should have been playing good football but this year, I couldn't care less what the football looks like. This year, results matter above all else.

Then they had a falling out, refused to speak to each other and one of them put in a sexual misconduct complaint about the other.
-
Surely agents do that to use the fear of someone else being interested to leverage their current club into a new contract? But given that the current club and the reportedly interested club are owned by the same people, I'm not sure that would work as they will know if the interest is legit or not...

Aren't you supposed to put a hashtag in front of that?

A bit of premature Maresculation?!
-
Nah, I'd have Colwill at LCB, Fofana in the middle, James at RCB and Gusto or Cuccarela inverted.
-
Is he related to the one that coaches in Japan?
-
Yeah, potentially. Him as the 8, Winks as the 6 and KDH as the 10.
-
Well... He plays with a double pivot of a 6 and and 8. If Ndidi stayed, him and Winks would be the 6's. That's fine but KDH is the only #8 so we would need one of those. He plays one winger wide and one coming inside to play alongside the #10 (which we would need 2 of). I think that would be OK ideally with Fatawu the former and Mavididi the latter but each would need a backup. The problem comes in defence. Similair to Enzo, the 4 becomes a 3 with one FB tucking in but instead of moving into CM, the other FB takes up the wide space that the winger vacates when he moves inside. I don't think Ricardo's body can cope with that role anymore. Part of the reason he was fairly healthy this year was that he played a role that was more forgiving but if he doesn't play that role and we instead have VK do it on the left (which would be ideal given that I'd prefer Mavididi coming inside) where does Ricardo fit in? JJ would be the preferred RCB for me. Not to mention, he likes a high press which doesn't suit the pace of any of our CBs. Don't get me wrong, I like the sound of the system, I'm just not sure how it fits to our squad. This is ofcourse assuming he would play the same system.

If it was to be RVN, he either needs to adapt from the tactics he used at PSV or we are in for a hell of a rebuild.
-
Well yeah, but the fact they are stocking on Sunday, I'd bet my left nut that they shirt drops on Monday.
-
Looks like a young Clay Morrow. Are we finally getting a Sons of Anarchy prequel?!
-
Scheduling that annual stock take just before you get a butt-load of new stock in makes sense though.

An embargo doesn't mean we can't sign someone, it means we can't register them, as far as I'm aware.
-
I wonder what Arsenal would want for Kieran Tierney? Doesn't appear to be part of their plans, great option at LB/LWB and LCB and adds a bit of steel to the team (I mean this figuratively ofcourse as litteraly, he has the same biological make-up as trifle which is the main drawback)
-
There is no return in it. Just a black hole to throw your money into. Arbroath we're actually first choice for Rob McElhenney to buy before the Wrexham thing because that's were his family are from but he recognised that there is absolutely no pay off for it.
-
I'm not sure. If you look at his career, he's always seemed to time his exit from a club well. He took Monaco as they were in free fall, steadied them and got them were they should be. Now might be the time to leave. Plus, at 54, he will be looking to make that PL move before it's too late.
-
Knutsen and Hutter should be considered.
-
I don't see us spaffing £20m on any one player and I think that's what it would take to get him. Especially if there is a bidding war with Newcastle.
-
I do get your point but a poll taken in the hours following a 1-0 defeat to a team looking destined for relegation at the time when emotions are high isn't a fair representation of what fans actually think.
-
It's Kjetil knutsen all day long for me. He can bring Albert Grønbæk with him too.
