We look less secure in midfield with him off. We needed to chase the game, and I'm glad RVN didn't just do like for like. I'd have much preferred he took off Reid for Buonanotte before they scored the first one.

It's a sucker punch. We've not been too bad for most of this match, but we're just not able to stay focused at the back for the whole game.

We've created chances. We've had lots of nice crosses into the box, which we don't always produce. We've just not got enough shots on target. A season long problem (even back when we were scoring more).

His signing has never been the big problem. Yes we'd all have preferred someone younger who could take players on, and yes he might slow some of our attacks up at times, but he's scored a few, looked threatening at times in some games. Solid back up player, who probably wouldn't have got so much game time if Fatawu stayed fit, and Mav hadn't gone off the boil. We wasted our transfer pot on other useless signings ... (like Skipp)

Think we've more chance if Man City get docked 100 points. We'd still let Ipswich get ahead of us though.

It's the Skipp fund that's indefensible. You could argue (I wouldn't necessarily agree) that at least one of Reid or Ayew could be bought as backup, but imagine if we'd invested in our defence or another proper striker with that £25 million.

Just to be clear I meant the last 3 minutes, (although we've not been anywhere near as poor as we have been at times this season the rest of the match we've not looked that threatening the rest of the game either).

Watching Khannouss whipping that ball in, we're lucky to have him in the squad, he works hard, and is integral in everything good we do going forward. If only we had a similar player to him on the bench who could help share that burden on the pitch 🤔.

Right now I'd take any of these over our current centre backs, and I am well aware most of this list are full of pentioners or players who've sadly passed on, and yes some like Konchesky mostly played as full backs, but beggars can't be choosers and I feel even in death they'd improve us at the back over where we are now. Graham Cross, Steve Walsh, John O'Neil, Adam Black, Wes Morgan, Gerry Taggart, Richie Norman, Frank Sinclair, Steve Whitworth, Peter Rodrigues, Dennis Rofe, Simon Grayson, Gary Mills, Paul Konchesky, Ian King, David Nish, John Sjoberg, Jeff Blockley, Robert Huth ... my Nan ... (I'm sure there are obvious ones I've missed from this list).

Although I'm not keen on the system, we have a load of central defenders all better when playing in a back 3, yet we insist on playing a back 4 and wonder why they don't look comfortable defending.... (Not me defending them, but maybe we need to adjust the system to one that suits the players strengths ...)

I am certain we must have watched different games. However effective or ineffective he may have been out wide, I don't think he ever looked lazy.

Ayoze Perez was a good player, but we never played to his strengths. (I was actually sad when we sold him).

No need for a ban when the muppets in charge couldn't complete a decent transfer in time if their lives depended on it!

We have no money for new players but keep rejecting offers for our own homegrown talent like McAteer and Thomas which would give us instant profit and are hardly players who are playing regularly in the first team. What am I missing here?

I know you've agreed terms with PSV, but why not consider Leicester City instead? What can we offer? Guaranteed to be playing in the Champions (hip) League next season!
