  1. Really annoying how many people keep just posting on here to keep the thread hot, when they've nothing useful to contribute and no knowledge of whether we're any closer to appointing anyone or not.
  2. And you didn't follow him? What kind of stalker are you?
  3. I feel like cats view Rudkin with a certain jealousy. They only get nine lives.
  4. Didn't he sign a one year extension last week? I know they might do that so they get something for him, but it means his contract isn't up this summer any more.
  5. I'm hoping there is nothing to this, or any truth to any other older players we get linked ro. Our entire recruitment remit needs to be young, hungry, up and coming with something to prove and a high ceiling and potentially big sell on value. The rough diamond we can put on show, so that we make a nice profit on them a few seasons down the road, who wont be demanding too high a wage yet, because they're not fully established. We need to be avoiding future PSR issues. We've got older heads already. Too many of them. Please go back to what we were so good at doing not so long ago ...
  6. I can't be the only person who makes massive to do lists for myself and always have one or two things I never find the time to get around to. Maybe that's Tops problem. 1. Buy gift for upcoming Thai prince's birthday. 2. Visit Vihara 3. Approve new fragrance brand 4. Review new King Power stadium expansion minutes (latest ones) 5. Negotiate with luxury brands over how many square inches of gold plated shelf they get 6. Audit liquor stock 7. Fire Ruud. 8. Fire Jon. 9. Cancel milk. He's no doubt a busy man and sometimes those things at the bottom of the list never get done.
  7. Yeah but he doesn't seem to have taken the hint yet.... Perhaps in the future we realise we shouldn't try going for the cheaper option when it comes to the manager, since paying all this compensation when they don't last can't possibly be cheaper in the long run. Imagine if we'd just spent 3 million for Corberan back when he looked an option... (and saved 25 million on the Skipp signing)
  8. I think we definitely sold Fofana at the right time from a financial perspective. What's most gruelling is he was injured in that friendly before that final season started. Think how much more solid at the back we'd have been with him there, and some of the money we'd have save from the useless replacements we signed to cover him while injured. This is the model we need to go back to as quickly as possible to ensure we never have to worry about PSR again. Buy the young talent in - the uncut diamonds, and sell them for big profit. We might not manage that many more Mahrez type signings, but there is no excuse why we can't go back to the old, sell one for big money and invest smartly again... well there is an excuse, two actually, one named Glover and the other called Rudkin, and how inept they are at their jobs.
  9. I think you're being a little unrealistic with the club. We haven't done this at all since we lost Vichai. Right now I think I'd just settle for an accidental decision that is good enough, so it doesn't feel like we're making the worst possible decision all the time.
  10. How depressing is it when keeping this clueless %÷#£ suddenly looks the better option...?
  11. Starting to see a pattern emerging, we start by taking on half of their abysmal defenders, ones we put 9 goals past in a single game ... for reasons unknown. Then we sign their awful head of recruitment. Now having seen how atrocious they've been all season the next logical step is to take their manager, the only one who's performed worse than the two muppets we've had in charge. I spot the pattern. I am just let wondering, why?
  12. As long as we play players like Reid and Faes who either won't be here next season, or shouldn't be here in the first place, and don't give any youth a chance, I'll be happy.
  13. Well we've not shown any fight this season, so it'd still be an improvement.
  14. So much going on (in my own life) I don't think I even read the title properly.
  15. Not his most important goal, but his strike against Mignolet from about 25 yards is often the first goal I think about when mentally picturing goals Vardy has scored. I think it just showed how great we were that season.
  16. It is a huge shame. I know wages are a massive issue, and each year that ticks by he'll be less effective (time catches up with us all), but I still think if he was here next year in the championship and we play to his strengths he'd score a bucket load of goals for us and seriously help our quick return. I think part of the reason he's looked less effective this season is because in spite of his age he's been a regular starter, and often left on the pitch. We needed to have someone decent enough to offer him proper competition (because even fit Daka didn't really do that), and ease his burden. Less minutes and I think he's more effective. I fear he's going to be as impossible to replace as Kante and Mahrez, and we're going back to the yo yo club we were in the 90s and 2000s with no guarantee of any stay in the seasons we do go up, and no guarantee of promotion straight back when we go down. It makes me feel sick thinking about how quickly we have declined, and the harsh reality we've got to face, that the dream we've all sharing for the last decade may finally be truely over.
  17. If we can't sack RVN before June to comply with PSR can we at least put him in Gardeners Leave and let someone who'll actually play the players most likely to be here next season, ideally with a focus on youth, be in charge?
  18. I am under the impression that Ruud is so keen to talk to the board because he's after his relegation bonus. Someone (probably Rudkin) messed up when writing the new contracts for the manager and players and inserted a bonus for going down and a 20% wage increase, with an option to extend their contract. It's the only explanation for the teams RVN puts out each week and why more than half the team are playing like they couldn't give a toss, or are completely inept.
  19. Don't you mean "when" we beat Liverpool?
  20. Not seen this one mentioned anywhere. I don't often post these even when I find them first, but I've seen him and he wasn't terrible that time. Not suggesting it's all too reliable, but it got me thinking. Would this be our first Avenger? https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/leicester-city-interested-winger-dubbed-10105991
  21. I'm beginning to worry you might be right...
  22. Damn it. I wish I'd done this months ago. I had no money left for my FF team so put Faes in, as the last placed sub, just because I could afford him and knew he'd play. First time he's been in my team and will never be among the starting 11, just because I couldn't afford anyone else. Why oh why didn't I do that sooner?
  23. Mads Faes Coady Thomas Justin Soumare N'didi Kristiansen Daka Khannouss Vardy It's the only way to go.....
  24. Wrongly. I thought I'd clear up any ambiguity for you.
