6th August more like. And come back vaguely aware something important might happen the next day and there was something they were supposed to do before then...
-
Well said. We both earned our successes and earned our downfall - one through a period of being shrewd and playing to our strengths, and one through a period of making catastrophic errors and not learning from them and making them again and again.
-
Missed most of the games since the rapid decline, although when I did make it we won. I think everyone just needs to buy me a season ticket each season and we'll be winning the premium league again before too long.
-
Fact is given the wages we're paying for the dross we have, and the squad we still have (on paper at least - even it didn't somehow translate to what happened on the pitch) and a competent manager in charge - our points deduction could have been twice what it was and we should still have been the other end of the table to where we ended up. The whole season has been a cruel joke and its unbelievable how far we've fallen in ten years.
-
Don't keep the youth on who might be playing for us next season Gary... Please go far from our club. Tonight. And never come back.
-
We dont need to be winning anything for us to promote Rudkin again. Whatever he has on Top must be very bad.
-
Oh thank goodness for that. I was so confused what might happen if we score and they don't.
-
Wouldn't you be miserable losing to us this season? I mean plenty of time for us to throw it away as usual, but I'd be livid losing to Leicester if I didn't support them.
-
So many players who've not deserved their place for such a long time. Nothing but pride to play for. Players who wont be with us next season. Potentially exciting youth players who've been sadly overlooked and who might now become the core of our team going forward (in theory) and would benefit from some time playing together. So why do I get the horrid feeling it will be the same bloody team Rowett has stuck with since he came here in spite of the results?
-
Hey Top, I'd expect nothing less...
-
Can we not try him up front? Can't be worse than the pathetic strikers we have, maybe Top has a better chance of staying on his feet than Ayew.
-
This is only slightly positive thing I keep saying to myself. Do you think the chances of history repeating itself exactly for the next eight or nine years are more or less than 5000 to 1?

Jordan is on Foxestalk, multiple accounts and keeps giving himself a 10 to drive up his average... -
Really riding our luck there.
-
I suspect you're half right. Not sure we are lucky enough for the latter.
-
Hope it is. Still not fully sold on Marti yet. I was full of hope (if cautiously) when he first came - but that hope went quickly. Getting 7 out of a possible 9 points in last 3 games is a big step in the right direction even if we've had some awful moments in these last 3 games and were lucky to get anything against Bristol in the end (after being 2 up). Let's hope he has a better idea of who is worth playing and what the best tactics are for those players we have that are still playing for the club. Ideally we prune more of the waste in January and get someone who can offer Ayew competition since Daka is not the striker I'd hope he'd be when we first signed him.

LCFC 3-1 Ipswich, post-match thread

Automatic promotion may be a hard ask, although still within our own hands even with a points deduction, but we have to try to win a lot of the remaining games (and there's still half the season remaining) so we at least have a chance of play offs even with points deduction. I'd feel happier if we'd not gone through that awful patch where we kept losing, but I'm hoping (though still not totally convinced) that there is light at the end of the tunnel finally. -
I wish you'd told our team that at the start of the season.
-
Yay. Daka is on. That always works out well.
-
Don't. I still have nightmares about the first time we threw away a 3 goal advantage to lose 4-3 to Wolves.
-
Fact today someone seems to have reminded the manager and players the game doesn't end after 45 mins is giving me hope this game.
-
Wait. We dont play well in both halves. What's going on?

Given the way we play for only part of a match, I'm not sure those outcomes are equally likely. -

I think its a combination of being truly terrible to not good enough to finish the job, that means we've all been angry, even if its for different reasons. Regardless of whether we are so bad we will get relegated to the 3rd tier for the second time in our history, which given the threat of points deductions and the form we showed against Southampton and Sheffield -.its not a possibility I'm going to discount just yet. (The squad we had was too good to go down from the Premier League (the time before last season), but we still went down. Or we battle hard for 45 minutes and then go to sleep/ seemingly struggle in the second half and watch any lead disappear. Whichever way we're playing it leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Managed properly we should be winning most games given our squad. Its not got the same pedigree we've been used to lately, but we have good youth team players coming through and player for player we should be beating most teams. But some of the players that should be leading and influencing the squad in a positive way, just aren't. There is something toxic in our squad, and the club as a whole. As fans we feel this. It drags us down. As fans we're becoming used to seeing our squad underperform for at least 45 minutes of football each week (sometimes longer) and its making supporting Leicester feel like we're watching VAR, unable to truly celebrate when we score because there is an inevitably that moments later it won't mean much, as we concede at the other end. We need a run of good form to get everyone to start believing again. The fans, the players, and I think even the manager. -
Would love to see him involved with our squad. But thats the important point. Involved. What we can't do is bring him back to bench warm or not be picked and stop any game time he's getting, thus stagnating his development. Bring him back with a fair chance to play.
