I feel like there is a bit more strategy behind these two loans, Barnes and Iversen, we obviously rate them as we have given them new contracts and feel they are ready for first team football in the relevant leagues. Liking what I see.

So he had started both pre season games so far getting the full 90 yesterday finishing off playing at centre back. He was left midfield yesterday and believe he was the same on Saturday. Do we think he is in Puel plans? Find hard to believe he would get so much game time if he wasn’t? When is his contract up? Iversen gone Oldham for the season and also signed a new 3 year contract. Hopefully he gets a regular game! They will hope to be challenging towards the top having been relegated so should be good for him.

World Cup players plus albrighton and Simpson are all having lunch together so would suggest Bert is eighth and they won’t be featureing today.

A full season on loan at any of them would do him well and then we monitor and decide keep or sell/release next summer. When is his contract up?
