  1. No massive elephant we offer him in a deal…..stupid if we don’t ! - terms should be different but he’s still our best striker!
  2. I don’t VK will have a say as you suggesting he will compromise won’t happen under EM ……….EM will not and should not have players with that mindset !
  3. 3rd choice I think Cannon will be the one to miss out
  4. Spot on we will definitely attempt to keep all of the above and Vardy too is my sense on reduced terms but probably with a bonus for staying up whether he has better overseas offers will be key and if he needs a 3 year deal for security.......hopefully he wants at least one more year and we would be mad not to try and keep him - his experience, dressing room and leadership alone are worth retaining - also, in recent weeks he has looked at a different level again and he is still the best finisher at the club by a country mile.
  5. Having lived in Suffolk for 15 years and seeing the rebirth of ITFC its fantastic for the Town....selfishly I hope they come up too as the gap to the prem is huge although the club is ran fantastically and McKenna is a top top talent I think Southampton and Leeds would definitely invest massively to try and stay up whereas ITFC would continue their sensible model of investment but within a structure which I think would probably mean they would struggle more......
  6. Learn what? Your being ignorant if you do not believe signing Vesty on is great business Finding an experienced international who understands EM ethos and can play the way he wants will cost £m+ whereas a new 2-3 year deal would be great value as in the prem we will need experience and players who can hit the ground running.... He may not necessarily start every game and he has defended brilliantly all season and can play - boy can he pass a ball - he lacks pace but then the system and players around him will need to have pace - full backs in particular.. No brainer for me sign him up - we wont have ridiculous funds next season and keeping those players who have prem experience, played well this season should all be retained
  7. I thought Riccy was equally as good some of his defending was outstanding……both superior to this level by a mile !
  8. Agree - we are miles away from being mid table - this squad will get relegated without investment but let’s get there first….
  9. Absolute rubbish……..it depends upon the terms which is relevant! IF he plays and shows form between now and the season ending - we get promoted and he was interested in renewing we would be mad on revised terms NOT to have him in the squad next season - his experience off the bench and training with Cannon alone could be invaluable …..I do agree that it cannot be on his current wages …..he may accept this and want to be here and accept significantly reduced terms……
  10. Completely different players and Fatawu has not kept KM out of the team - he has been injured and you will see that EM rates KM every bit as much as Fatawu……they play the same position just in very different ways….KM is a real goal threat and his work rate is extraordinary whereas individual talent Fatawu is superb but also has a phenomenal work rate … We should be keeping both as KM will be invaluable in the prem and has significant potential too - we will not sell him for less than £20m
  11. IF your correct it will be unlikely we will stay up as the way we play will require significant upgrades and the league will be tougher next season than this one imo
  12. Hopefully one lesson from last season is a goalkeeper is one of if not the most important positions in any PL side….if we go up Jakub will have to go out on loan as playing to develop is key - he will not be ready to be a back up. The gap to the PL is huge and Mads has potential but the step up will be a test and we will need lots of investment to be mid-table and not come straight back and a new keeper will be key imo ……not as a No.1 but certainly competing or reliable enough to step in…..a keeper like Dubravka or someone with experience
  13. Great post and fans will soon realise it has not gone unnoticed inside football…….big clubs knocking already and if he makes us tick in the prem could be a massive test to retain him !!
  14. Disagree I think you will find Ipswich are equally as adept they don’t have the depth in squad however they are tactically coached fantastically and the team spirit and athleticism will match both us and Leeds - I would still keep an eye on Boro and think we will need to play at a higher level than we are doing to maintain an automatic spot - we have the best squad although we may lack a creative midfielder but if Praet and Ndidi were fit we would have more options - I still worry about strikers as to me Vardy and Kel don’t quite look right - one might be suffering because of lack of creativity the other just looks off it !
  15. I think the game was tight and where in games like QPR and Sunderland where we could easily have drawn last night we did not get the rub. I do believe what last night demonstrated is the gulf to Prem even more because a number of players are not good enough to play this football against bottom half prem teams as they will be games we need to win - I know we are not there yet and this season is all about promotion but an evolvement of a team needing just 3 or 4 starters will be needed - I do not see 7 or 8 Prem starters yet and the gulf in full back, attacking midfielders and strikers will cost big money - the worry for me is the lack of threat as Enzo has made us more solid but we do lack creativity - it’s one game and we probably deserved a draw but January will be important !!
  16. The standard in the division is poor and with the exception of Blackburn and Sunderland we have not really been tested - each week Enzo will be getting more messages across and we will get better although AFCON will have a significant impact. Enzo won’t say it but our squad is the best by a mile and we should be breaking all records and come Jan I expect more investment to get us closer to Prem standard - the step up is huge and although we should not be arrogant or complacent we should have every confidence after this start to win the league - I do think Ipswich will stay the course and probably Leeds are next best - be a good test on Friday !
  17. Promotion to the premier league and guaranteed first team football puts him back in the England reckoning - he is one of those who will be able to step up and still be quality - no way he leaves than less a top 6/7 club comes in !! Quality player and we will need 4 or 5 more like him at least in all departments !
