I think your spot on but I sense the budget does not allow us to spend on the quality young talent we need so it maybe a case of having to utilise wages with minimal transfer fee! We will see but if we are only in the bargain basement my point is that both players have qualities if they are free or minimal transfer fees
-
Personally would take him and Schluppy into the squad we don’t have enough prem experience and both add value if we can get rid of some other players……….Schlupp is better than Thomas, Kristiansen, Soumare as options down the left and midfield and Ayew adds a threat !

Half is about right…..

Absolute rubbish - even in his brief cameo last night cannon looked twice the player - for a start he can trap and pass a ball - he closes down and actually challenges - Daka has regressed massively and he was a project when he arrived - he needs to move on and Cannon reminds me of Nuge - we should be giving him minutes preseason to see if he could be useful off the bench !
-
It was not simply down to Ward - granted he was poor and was part of the issue but our defending including the repeated selection of Amartey over Soyuncu was equally as stupid whilst our attacking players were inconsistent - Ward has been made a scapegoat and yes he is not good enough but the reason we were relegated was down to all the team and definitely BR contributed more than anyone - we need to move on !
-
I don’t and neither do we know if they are but I trust the process of the gaffer to get their development right and my instinct after two serious injuries that will have stalled their development at a crucial transition is that first team regular football will be better than first team squad exposure - we will see just a difference in opinion!
-
I would 100% take another Kante if he has the same impact - we won the league !! if any signing we make improves us and then we sell for 7-8 times its good on the pitch and off it - absolute no brainer!
-
It’s an interesting dilemma but I personally think the best thing for both Alves and Braybrooke is to go out on loan and get minutes in proper first team football - there development will be quicker and they will learn so much more than being around our 23’s and bench. They are not ready for the prem and we can’t experiment as relegation is too expensive - Kane, Beckham, KDH etc all went on loan early in their careers to get experience and whilst Pep integrated Foden he did not have the serious injuries our two have had. Sending them to clubs that play football and either top end of league 1 or championship will benefit them more than being around the first team - maybe we have recall clauses and if they are ready involve them back end of the season ready for the next but only if we are safe !!
-
If that’s the basis for a signing we are in big doo doo
-
This lad is top drawer would take him over Soule although be lots of clubs interested I fear !!
-
What sting ? If we wanted him we would get him - he’s no James Maddison and his attitude will be the questionable trait - Coops will not want any princesses and work rate plus ability is critical
-
Not really…..I never sat in silence fully behind our club and loud/proud but am glad to see the back of him as his football was one dimensional and he never understood the club….wont be missed! cooper will unite us I believe and have a plan b and c……
-
i think you maybe surprised - next season they will be competitive again and the Top 4 may all have a state of change very soon - they are a big club with huge ambition and an infrastructure with manager who will be successful
-
Wow if that is a set of highlights not sure I would bother …….not a particularly progressive player and personally would rather see Soumaré played in his right role
-
I think your underestimating their manager, team spirit and momentum. these two will elevate their starting 11 - ITFC will not go down imo - we will see but they are having a good go at least !
-
Would he really strengthen our starting 11 ? Personally would rather we saved the wages for better out of contract options or for new signings !
-
He’s a quality player that would undoubtedly add something to our squad !
-
They need loans and not exposing to a relegation battle ……..
-
Those saying it’s too cheap need to recognise that I think the market will be slightly more balanced in values than it has been. So many clubs are having to watch their finances around PSR and look at Villa selling luiz for under £45m - he’s a top top midfielder, international with champions league on the horizon and established in the prem - none of which KDH is. He was excellent last season and disappointing not to see him in the prem with us but be interesting to see if he makes it at Chelsea ! finally if this means it’s -3 or less rather than a 9+ point deduction then it’s a good deal - now we can move on and build for the season ahead !
-
Absolutely no chance they are letting him go out on loan but he would be a truly unbelievable signing on loan - him and Fatawu would frighten defences to death !
-
Thank god …..he’s hopeless
-
I would take Oxlaide-Chamberlain on loan or Willian who is out of contract - we need some quality with experience ….
-
Don’t want him anywhere near our club again…….Gilchrist or Diasi maybe….
-
I would take the zero off this and still take him there 😂😂
