Yes, I'm paying £200 on PCP, plus insurance at £70 a month, but I'm so much better off. Yeah, it's a Nissan Leaf, but my company car was a Fiat Tipo, so I'm saving money and I'm a bit cooler
-
Do you want a job? Second hand value can't be beaten. Prices have dropped off a cliff. Literally a 32k car brand new for 12k after 3 years. Like I say, not my dream car, not even close. But a financial dream.
-
Reminded me of a young @Izzy And me and @Milo to be fair. We ain't selling out to this LIV bullshit
-
I've done it. I've bought an EV. Nothing spectacular, it's a 3 year old Nissan Leaf. Purely a financial decision...I'm saving £150 on company car tax, £200 a month for fuel, plus...my company pay me £250 car allowance a month. No brainer.

Pm me if you fancy it @Strokes You can join our secret FT WhatsApp Golf group chat. It's VERY exclusive
-
I wouldn't be so sure. I've got a South African workmate who...HITS IT...at least 300 yards. Could be 2 fairways over though
-
Any time. And if you don't fancy the footy, you're more than welcome to beat me at golf some time! The most important thing is that you're OK, so give me a shout. And I mean it, there's a few of us on here who go for a round of golf when we can. That's how I know @Izzy has a magic putter
-
I'm really sorry to hear that mate. I've managed to drag my stepson down to our level and saved him from a so called 'big' team. Genuine offer, as I'm sure loads of people on here would say too... If you fancy going to watch a game, home or away, give me a shout. Seriously. It's hard to like our team at the minute, but I really hope you're OK. Just let me know
-
You'll be fine mate. If not, it's been a pleasure. And any chance of scrawling in to your will that I get the Spider mallet putter? I swear that's a cheat stick anyway
-
Rough being a Leicester fan right now, eh? Glad you're doing well mate and really good to hear from you 👍
-
@Izzy take it. I'm booking the day off and making an excuse to be there too. Ermmm...we're playing golf after it's sorted, right?
-
Ffs @Izzy tomorrow is my only day off. Don't make me drive down there. I'm not saying I'd be able to help you anymore, but I'd hold your hand so we both went down together
-
All good thank you mate. It's been too long! Hope you're good too
-
I mean.... Come on.... Mate, if you aren't confident, don't risk it. Like I said earlier, plumbing and electrics are my worst nightmare, but I'm more comfortable shutting off power and making electric changes than I am shutting down the water and getting a leak! There's professionals for a reason.
-
Here he ****ing is!!!!!!! @Strokes is back!!!! I told you he'd know! Hope you're well mate
-
Oh man, you've well lost me #prayfor izzy
-
And @Izzy if I'm messing about with wiring, i dont isolate where im working, i shut the entire building down! Your kids are similar age to mine, trust me, them losing wifi for 20 minutes and bitching at you is better than getting the wrong switches. Theyll find a reason to moan at you anyway
-
Electrics and plumbing are genuinely my biggest fears. I did however manage to install light fittings with the help of the good people on here. With totally different wiring. @Strokes more than made up for his tile drill bit faux pas I think you can do it mate. If it's a straight switchover, even easier. Give it a go. You've got a circuit board that'll trip out for safety reasons if you make that much of a mess of it!
-
Mate, seriously? You've not asked @Strokes? He's got his own hashtag on here #strokesknows
-
Yeah, that's depressing and on the board. You certainly can't blame the players who have short careers.
-
Still one of my favourite ever players to wear our shirt. Yes, things went sour, but what a player. And you can't tell me you don't love him for that single moment on the evening of May 15th 2021. Another one to add to the list that we were fortunate enough to have playing for us. Cambiasso, Mahrez, Kante....

In my experience, when I had a PHEV as a company car, those long journeys will absolutely kill you on fuel. My brother in law is of the same opinion, he's getting out of his Golf GTE. A PHEV will probably quote an electric range of 30 miles. It'll be more like 20 and even less cold weather (probably not something you need to worry about) The one that stick in my mind is when I took mine from Northampton to Liverpool to watch us lose at Anfield. It cost me about 80 quid in petrol to get there and back. Had I taken our 2 litre diesel that we had at the time, I probably could've done it for £30. If you're doing 10 miles to the office and back a day, maybe consider one, otherwise, don't even think about it.
