To be fair he was recovering from a brutal ACL and as we've seen with Ricardo and Justin too they both got a string on muscular injuries in the 1st year back. He's trained almost all season so far with the 1st team so hopefully he's back properly now.
-
Possibly, I'd love us to use that Man Utd cup game to surround the proper 1st team with Alves and Braybrooke and have Monga and Evans on the bench to unleash. Relegation makes the likelihood of many of these players being needed as we'll be forced to sell with severe restrictions on buying and you're faced with the unknown in what they'll be like with those senior players left around them.
-
Agreed, don't see him getting a chance. Don't mind the prospect of him having 2 weeks under Ruud to have a good look at him but unless he's considered 4th to 5th choice CM then it's a waste.
-
He got injured every time Enzo talked him up in his pressers. Was so frustrating.
-
Just been on When You're Smiling with Owynn and he's said Ruud's confirmed he'll spend the rest of the season with us. Will be interesting to see what he makes of him. Need to get Golding and Cartwright loans too IMO.
-
Blokes gone from crying (happy tears we were told) in his car with his wife at signing for Leicester to his camp continually insinuating he's looking to leave. The feelings mutual Wout.
-
Players know they face competition, the fact is there isn't ANY competition for places at right back currently. I really don't see the harm in telling us, we're moving in to the territory of Ruud's responses being very vague and it's a shame as he's very personable and articulate when he wants to be.
-
OK, Conor Coady then. Played at emergency right back under RvN already too. NEXT
-
Call it as I see it, he's making some bizarre decisions. Still back him but not going to pretend he's silk kegs right now either. The importance is if he's different to most managers and learns from his mistakes.
-
Just tell us what positions we are focusing on Ruud it's hardly that deep. Does he really think a clubs going to stick another £1m on because we say we want a right back vs not telling the world we want a right back but still bidding on a right back?
-
😂 I made my mind up on Cooper based on him not starting Alves vs Palermo in pre-season and here we are again basing a managers future on Will Alves. They just don't get it. Although Ron's first misdemeanour was Ward vs Wolves. Mind boggling.
-
Bobby Reid has played more at right back or RWB than Hamza Choudhury has.
-
McAteer had a similar struggle at Forest Green as Braybrooke has in a lack of minutes. His spell at Wimbledon was mildly better but certainly didn't point to being pretty important the next season in the Championship. Braybrooke has plenty of ability, he just needs game time and a club that will prioritise him over players they own (not always a given)
-
Whilst many will say £3m is nothing, we'd not get £3m for a player on low wages with just 6 months of their contract remaining. This should be a nominal fee at most.
-
Really logical choice to have him on the bench on Saturday over Alves. Well done Ruud.
-
Pretty sure it was well reported that Braybrooke had many offers and specifically chose Dundee as the manager was instrumental in Maddison's successful loan spell at Aberdeen.
-
That centre back really ought to be left footed and can play LB/CDM too to give us the options to play inverted full back. I wonder if Ruud might try and go for Noa Lang at LW
-
Someone at the club needs to point out our success rate at trying to bring in proven PL players is appalling.
-
This is what we have to put up with under a Martyn Glover led recruitment team. Hideous
-
Not so sure we're any better defensively without him, we still ship obscene amounts of goals if not more since he was injured/dropped. Coady isn't at the level. I like Okoli so any 2 of those 3.
-
Good God no. I'd rather keep Luke Thomas. This would be a permanent transfer as well given we've already got 2 PL loans.
-
Bounanotte is streets ahead of Ayew in almost every area. It can't even be said that Ayew is in for his ability to help out defensively, he can't get anywhere near the opposition to help. I much prefer him as a sub coming on to win tactical fouls and hold the ball up.

FFS we're lumbered with Odsonne then
