  1. Also brings the draw away at Preston into play. 2 pts from 2 games wins the title.
  2. I'm sure they'd take a draw at both Hull and Coventry and back themselves to win at home the final day of the season. A draw tonight still gives them some leeway.
  3. I think Ipswich would be very happy with a point tonight as they need 5pts from 3 games, Hull only a win will do. A draw tonight leaves us needing 2pts from two games to win the title.
  4. Bonus in the Hull vs Ipswich match tonight. Ipswich win then it screws Leeds, Hull win and the title is almost ours.
  5. Leeds fans taking it well
  6. Whats happens tonight is irrelevant you were still wrong for assuming it was a done deal. This game isn't done yet either.
  7. Up until last Saturday we had won 3 out of the last 10 league games and people are going on that winning one of our last two is a formality and have took their eye off the ball. Let's hope Enzo and the players aren't as complacent as some of the fans or we could easily find ourselves coming in at 0-0 vs Blackburn at H/T and currently in 3rd position as things stand.
  8. It's not about us not being positive, it's about being realistic. Two games left and we need 3pts so we don't have to rely on others slipping up and people have lost their intensity and focus if they think this is a foregone conclusion. Is it really that hard to believe that we lose away at Preston whilst Leeds win at QPR and Ipswich win both their games and we go into the final Sunday like this: Ipswich 95pts Leicester 94pts ------------------------------------ Leeds 93pts We cock this up 2-4% of the time.
  9. Worryingly there are plenty who haven't grasped this, two draws from two games could see us miss out. Some will be even cheering on Leeds tomorrow night so we can win it away at Preston. You would think we're 20pts clear with 7 to play for the way some go on and not probably going into the last week with nothing decided yet. People who were gutted that Leeds beat Middlesbrough will now be cheering on Leeds at QPR even though the point differential between us is the same.
  10. Yes it is, our implied chance of promotion is 96%. Promotion is likely but it's far from a certainty and a foregone conclusion. This is giving me horrible flashbacks when some people on here wanted Tottenham to beat Chelsea in 2016 so we could secure the title ourselves by beating Everton. We've just lost back to back versus Millwall and Plymouth, is it beyond people's imagination that we could do the same versus Preston and Blackburn? As things stand we still need 3pts, it's not a given. I will certainly be cheering on QPR on Friday.
  11. Are people really thinking about winning the Championship rather than top two? Top two is all that matters, if we come first great but top two is the only thing we should be thinking about as today stands.
  12. We need to win two from three to guarantee promotion. If we draw tonight we need to win two from two to guarantee promotion.
  13. I'm talking about finishing top two not winning the Championship, who cares who wins it? The prize is top two not top one.
  14. A loss tonight and it's still in our hands but we would then need to win our last two from two to not rely on others. A draw still has it's merits as it's one point more but it only becomes useful if Leeds and Ipswich don't win their remaining games. For Southampton the equation is simple, they have a slim chance already of going up but a draw tonight is almost the same as a loss tonight for them, expect them to gamble if the game is tied going into the last 15 mins which should suit us as neither side will be happy with a point tonight.
  15. It wouldn't be a "very good result" at all. As things stand we need 6pts to keep it in our own hands. That's two wins needed from three games. A draw tomorrow and Leeds and Ipswich win their next game before we play means we'll still need two wins from two games going into the Preston game otherwise we're relying on Leeds and Ipswich slipping up in the last week. At this point you have to keep things in your own hands and draws are no good to us in that respect.
  16. No but I would have took 4pts from the next two games before West Brom. Massive 3pts and we only need a draw against Southampton or one more win this season to guarantee finishing above them so they're more or less out of the equation for us at least because if we lose to them and fail to win in the last two we're probably not going to make it anyway.
  17. Far too passive. We should not be thinking that a point at home to Southampton is a good result for us, it's not.
  18. I'm frustrated as well, we dominated against Plymouth, less so Millwall but they managed to take their very few chances whilst we didn't create anywhere near enough in both games considering how much of the play we had. After today I'm more the glass is half full, we now need three wins out of four to guarantee promotion, we can still afford to lose another game and we only have to avoid finishing bottom of our three team mini league although I accept Southampton are not without a chance of automatic.
  19. But we didn't and we should celebrate this as another lifeline grabbed rather than moan about what's gone on. We needed 5 wins to guarantee promotion before Millwall and now we need 3 wins.
  20. Well it shouldn't, our game has gone so this is a huge bonus. I would argue we've had a better few days than Leeds, we lost twice away and they got 1pt from two home games. We now have room for error again and it looks like we'll need it, three wins from four now guarantees.
  21. That shot before he got subbed FFS. The sort of shot you would have expected from someone on here with six cans down them.
  22. I've been defending this team but I feel like what Einstein said now about doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Once again dominated the play but look completely impotent in front of goal and always give the opposition a chance. Still in our hands and with three out of four games at home but you have zero confidence in this shower.
  23. Fancy us tonight to win by at least two clear goals. Let the pile on begin.
  24. Same as me, I was a Gold Member then and expected to get my ticket but 3,000 Thais from King Power made their way into the ground instead. I ended up buying a ticket for £250 from an Everton fan outside.
  25. Now I've seen Dier thinks it was unfair because we played first 5 times out of 8 and we had an 89th minute winner against Norwich in February it has soiled the title win for me that we didn't win it fair and square.
