  1. Yeah, I reckon Bath win by 10-12 points Just hope Tigers play to their full potential and give them a good game. P.S. What a brilliantly observed one minute silence. Could hear a pin drop.
  2. Yep, Paul Lawrie won at +6 (came from 10 shots back at the start of the round!)
  3. Absolutely. I'm guessing there's been about 10 majors since the turn of the century that have been won with a score over par (mainly US opens) I think Zach Jonson won the Masters over par in '07 and I know Paul Lawrie and Padraig Harrington won the Open with an over par score.
  4. It means he started his round on the back 9. All players who started their round on the 10th should have that blue arrow or an asterix by their score.
  5. Rory getting his teeth kicked in wishing he'd stayed in bed
  6. Remember one FNF game we played Forest reserves and we were walking through the car park as this light blue Rolls Royce drives in and parks up. Said to my mate that must be someone famous so we walk over, the driver gets out, opens the passenger door and lets Brian Clough out. My mate says something 'witty' to Cloughie (taking the piss out of him or Forest about something) and he wasn't amused. Basically told us to fvck off. So while he was walking into the Carling stand with his driver, we let the tires down on his Roller. Childish but funny at the time.
  7. Back to the old Qi10 driver and all is well in Rory’s world again !
  8. And this bellend will be unbearable to watch
  9. They’re going out their way to make any shot out of the rough basically a one stroke penalty. I’m guessing around +4 wins it.
  10. Wonder if we’ll see this tournament days
  11. Fascinating 15 minutes. Openly admitting he's struggling for motivation. Really sounds like he cba with golf atm
  12. I'd love to give blood but I've got familial hypercholesterolemia so I'm not allowed. I'm also not allowed to be a pilot with this condition apparently.
  13. Never seen that before! Happy for Foxy, seems like a top bloke. Enjoyed this interview a few months ago. He swears like a trooper
  14. The play off no one wants to win
  15. My sisters husband played for Aston old Edwardians in Birmingham and my wife's brother (and my father in law back in the day) both played for Stoneygate. All state school educated, normal middle class blokes. I grew up in Lutterworth and all the Lutterworth Rugby team were school mates of mine from the local secondary school. Guess I've never really come across the private school/elitist rugby type in my time.
  16. I'm only a casual rugby fan but subscribe to Ben Youngs and Dan Coles podcast. They often have Anthony Watson on too. All three seem like really decent blokes and they talk a lot about having a beer and a chat with supporters. Rugby gets a lot of flack for it's public school image but I think the culture and values the the game are generally spot on.
  17. 11 players tied at the top of the leaderboard at -11 Never seen that before.
  18. Lazy bastard! Rugby's clutch king Handre Pollard: I don't practise that much 1 day ago — “You probably won't believe me – I will kick twice in the week and maybe on captain's run,” Pollard says. “I will do around 20 kicks a week The Telegraph https://www.telegraph.co.uk › rugby-union › 2025/06/06
  19. Then some of them have got the world club cup coming up after this. Football's becoming a year long game these days.
  20. I made the mistake of getting into business with a good mate about 15 years ago. It inevitably went tits up, the trust was lost, and we haven't spoken since. I thinks there's some truth in the old saying don't mix business with pleasure.
  21. Interesting point about Rory's MC affecting the crowd turnout, I'll bet the tournament organizers are well pissed off. Tbf to Rory he's a big supporter of playing national opens around the world, it's something he's always prioritized (unlike his US counterparts who cba to travel). I wouldn't mind seeing Taylor win it again so we get to see a repeat of this. One of all time great moments
  22. I truly hope he is contending again soon, he's been my favorite golfer of the last 15 years and I'm a huge fan. I just sense something is off. He's skipping media requests, didn't ring Jack Nicklaus to apologize for missing Memorial, and he's got the arse over his banned driver. Can't see him contending at Oakmont while he's spraying it all over the gaff but maybe Portrush will inspire him. Think he'll definitely raise his game for Bethpage and will want to win the RC on US soil though. After that, who knows. He might be motivated to beat Monty's order of merit wins or Faldo/Vardon's major's or win Olympic gold, but the OG grand slam is the one that really mattered to him and he's completed it. Maybe easier to just sit in his boxer shorts in his new built mansion near Wentworth and enjoy time with his family while spending his $300m fortune.
  23. Can't remember the last time he got a snowman on a par 4. He's clearly in a weird headspace since he won the Masters. Must be strange for him having now achieved his lifetime goal. There's nothing left for him to achieve in the game so will be interesting to see what motivates him going forward. He's moving back to the UK soon, got a young kid, playing more worldwide later this year instead of the US (India, Australia etc.) and got lots of business interests. Genuinely wouldn't surprise me if he ends up retiring soon and doing something else with his life.
