  1. I’m absolutely heartbroken. He’s been treated awfully by the club. He should be off to Real Madrid, not Bournemouth (my personal opinion of him and at times, my blind, unfounded faith in him might have slightly exaggerated this response). Goodbye our/my Zambian king. We’ll always have that cold night in Moscow to remember you by.
  2. What a huge mistake it would be to let him go. I feel sorry for him and I think he’s been let down by the club. He’s arrived and been used for 20 odd minutes here and there without any proper run in the team. He’s been second to an ageing and mostly ineffective Vardy, and third to Iheanacho who has basically had the exact same thing happen to him. Not only that, but he’s come to the club under a useless manager with a team playing awful football and expected to bang in 10+ goals a season during his 10ish minute off-the-bench appearances. Now we’ve got our own fans surprised because he hasn’t developed? Who would develop under those circumstances? Get him coached by Enzo (someone who actually knows what they’re doing tactically) and get him in the team. The club made an investment in him, which was the correct move given his stats and age. You’re supposed to sign these players, develop them and sell for profit. Instead, we’ve what? Hoped he’d improve whilst watching football being played from a bench? He’s been failed by a club that’s failed in a lot of things recently.
  3. Our “owner” has literally dragged the whole squad over to Thailand so he can show off to all his mates and the three Leicester fans over there. This is whilst playing a grand total of one game to get us up to speed for the start of the championship season, a league we’re in because he left the running of the club to his incompetent little lap dog. I’d love new owners to be honest.
  4. It’s a little bit North Korea
  5. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were still those at the club that’ll be confused to see Coventry show up on opening day, rather than Chelsea. Complacency was a huge part of our downfall last season and I’m not entirely convinced it’s gone away. It’ll be “well we’re a premier league club so of course we’ll get promoted” when we’re hanging around mid-table in January.
  6. It’s £10 mil now or a season of him half-heartedly strolling around on relatively massive wages before leaving on a free. We had Youri last season do the same thing so it appears we’ve learned from our mistake. The fee should be bigger but it’s just not worth keeping him.
  7. https://twitter.com/lcfcleaks/status/1682058541232685058?s=46&t=8BP78GzD0Feu_TxmCBNAEQ This says we’re in for Anthony Elanga from Man U. Terrible source though, hence why I haven’t created a new topic.
  8. I’m hoping for some links to younger players with more potential. We seem to have completely abandoned the previously successful model of buy, develop, sell. We’re linked with older players who MIGHT get us promoted on probably 4 year contracts for high wages and transfer fees. It’s going to completely screw us should we be promoted or not. Hopefully the Coady and Winks signings are the “experience” we need and not the new norm.
  9. The kit was probably designed and finalised a couple of years ago when we were a top 8 premier league team competing in European competitions, hence the more bespoke design. Sorry Adidas. Best kit in the championship though
  10. But how does that benefit us? Would it not be best to sell him now and avoid that entirely, whilst making a good chunk of money off him as well?
  11. Hence why I said premier league LEVEL.
  12. They are comparable because regardless of how long left they have on their contract, you’re putting a player on the pitch who would rather be somewhere else (obviously if Barnes wants to stay then great, but I think he’d rather play in the premier league earning more money). This whole mentality is a huge reason we were just relegated. I genuinely can’t believe so many people are saying we should keep him.
  13. That’s what we all said about Youri. That didn’t go too well.
  14. A lot of people need a reality check unfortunately. We’re a championship club, he’s a premier league level player. He’s going to do everything he can to get out (and so will his agent). He’d be great in our team this season, but so would any premier league player. Forcing him to stay isn’t going to produce the results people think it will. This is before we even mention the financial mess we’re in.
  15. The anecdotal evidence comes from watching him every single game I genuinely cannot think of a time he “passed between the lines”. He contributed nothing and actively harmed our offensive play due to his inability to find an open midfielder. Just to clarify, do you think he was good enough for the premier league and an integral part of the squad, or are you only taking opposition to my comment about him not being good enough for the championship? Because I can certainly understand your point of view in that the championship is a fairly large step down (even though I think it would still be too high for him!). Premier league level is laughable though. He was very lucky to have been with us for so long.
  16. What was he good at? He couldn’t defend, couldn’t pass the ball unless it was more than 5 years backwards. Didn’t contribute anything to the attack. He’d have been torn to shreds in the more physical championship.
  17. Awful player. One of so many I’m glad to see the back of. Wouldn’t have even been good enough for the championship. Him starting so many games last season beautifully represented the failure of the club as a whole.
  18. Thanks, that’s all the justification I needed SOLD
  19. I absolutely love both of these. LOVE them. Now, this should be fantastic news, but I can’t help but be faced with a dilemma. I’m 28. Am I really of an age where it’s acceptable for me to buy both the home and away shirts of my football team? Even one is a push. I’m going to tell my fiancée they’re both good gym tops and so worth the price, but that feels like a lie.
  20. I know. My point still stands.
  21. How are people expecting anything under Top? We’re a club without a leader. We have no leadership. As long as Top is in control of our club, we will fail. He does not care. I’d be surprised if he even knew we were relegated today. He employs people who are so far up his arse it’s remarkable. We will be going down again to league 1 whilst our useless board blame everyone else but themselves.
  22. Get out of our club. Pathetic little man.
  23. I love it. A massive improvement on this years.
  24. I think you’re absolutely mental, but I love your optimism. I wish our players had your mentality
