  1. He won’t be here next season, unless we stay up (we won’t)
  2. Big Wes was 10x the player
  3. The team has a lot of grit and character but not a lot of quality and a manager with no nous. Can see us winning a few at home through sheer determination but we’re going straight back down under this manager
  4. We don’t score more than 1 with that team
  5. I’d rather the no neck homophobe than edouard tbh, but don’t think we’ll get either
  6. No he won’t
  7. It’s an echo chamber though isn’t it, if he was to sign by mid day today and was in the squad tomorrow he would be cheered, and if he was booed by a minority I don’t even think people would be aware why
  8. Quite literally nobody will care, and if he scores 10 goals this season he will be celebrated by our fan base
  9. Happy retirement, gave us so many brilliant memories, and a brilliant character. His goals against Bruges, Sevilla and Rennes. Great servant to us. It will be interesting to see what he goes into next, all the best to him
  10. Wonder if gilet will be there
  11. Pass was slightly too late
  12. Because he shouldn’t be our number 2 keeper?
  13. 50m + on Danny Ward, Oliver Skipp and Jordan ayew. That’s a sackable offence on its own Christ
  14. 20 mil for skipp btw 😂😂
  15. Yet they’ll stay up and we won’t
  16. Ah so it’s not a basic mannered respect thing it’s status, gotcha 👍
  17. See this is why it’s such a non issue with me and why you can’t take anybody seriously who agrees with it because of bollocks like this comment. Why would it not be the same? Do I or others not deserve the same respect as a player with a common first name just because they’re on tv? Surely if im paying manuels wages for a week they could have the common courtesy to learn the pronunciation of my name? Or is it that again it’s just a non issue and nobody cares that their name is pronounced in the localised way
  18. It really is, it has nothing to do with respect hence why no other country bothers with it. Do you think anybody feels disrespected when called the localised version of their first name?
  19. Well we’ve just found one
  20. Not as odd as English blokes pronouncing Simon as ‘Seemon’
  21. But that’s entirely my point, from my experience from wherever I’ve been around around the world, nobody goes out of their way to pronounce names in the English anglicised way. I think it irks me so much because it’s just like going up to someone and mimicking their accent. If an Englishman, Frenchman and a Spaniard all called Joel, only the English would go out of their way to pronounce the others ‘properly’
  22. Stuff like this really annoys me, we’re the only country in the world (from my experience) that go out of their way to pronounce names ‘properly’ rather than just settle for our anglicised name, don’t know why it’s developed either, summarisers pronouncing fernandes ‘fernandsh’ really gets to me and Jesus ‘heyzeus’. It comes across as really disingenuous and tacky to me, I recently went to Spain and my mate had his name pronounced ‘wrong’ all holiday when getting stuff from the hotel bar but nobody cared because why would they? Proper first world problem and probably sound like Brexits poster boy but needed to get it off my chest 😂😂😂
  23. Maybe this isn’t the full facts but if he was offering to meet you and his response after you sent him the message saying it’s a euromillions ticket (😂), this may have actually been a mistake? Has he said anything else since?
