  1. In truth we have dodged a bullet we are in a precarious position as a club where finances are very limited and we have a number of average players on high wages that need moving on, in reality we need a manager who is happy to work with our talented younger players but also can build a project that potentially utilises players previously looking for the exit. I know a few posters felt like Dyche was similar to Pearson and the ideal man to rebuild but in truth Dyche is a disciplinarian but in terms of approach he is miles away from Pearson and would have been totally the wrong fit for a club that is going to rely heavily on players such as Nelson, Aluko, Joseph, Page, Alves, Monga, Evans et al. we have massively dodged a bullet in my opinion and feel Cifentus is much more a project type of appointment like Pearson and Maresca.
  2. So it does tie in with my thought then as sounds like both announced at 5pm
  3. It’s 10 years to the day the club appointed Ranieri anyone remember what time he was unveiled, if I remember correctly I thought it was early evening 5 or 6 ish. wonder if the club are going to announce Marti at exactly ten years to the day and time …..
  4. Any risk at all the club will actually announce him any time soon, I am beginning to think they delay announcing things for shits and giggles now 😂
  5. bit of interesting insight, taken from LinkedIn from a post from the Falkirk CEO, took 15 days and he dealt with 4 different people at LCFC in concluding the deal for Henry Cartwright. 🦊We welcomed Henry Cartwright up from Leicester City which constitutes a cross border loan. A cross border loan requires international clearance through FIFA which adds an extra layer of paperwork. When you are dealing with a larger club you see the multitude of staff that they have at their disposal. In this one deal I worked with their sporting director, head of football operations, head of legal and club secretary, roles that we as a club don’t have which increases my workload during transfer windows. Henry is a player identified by our head scout Allan Fraser that we have been tracking since last year and almost signed in January. Deals are rarely straight forward though and this one took 15 days from initial offer to the player becoming available for selection.
  6. Other alternative is try McAteer or Mavididi as the striker reckon both offer more than Daka, BEK and Ayew in terms of overall output from a strikers point of view.
  7. I really don’t see BEK staying a team in the prem or one of Europes top 5 leagues will take a punt on him, probably get him for £30m and I could see a West Ham type of club or even a Brighton/Brentford coming in for him. However we have some frighteningly good attacking options and I would like to see Mavididi and McAteer used as a central striker option in next couple of pre season games as I think either could do a decent job, pacy, can finish and would both set the tone in terms of high press. Daka is just way too inconsistent and his finishing is appalling, whilst Ayew lacks the mobility but does offer the ability to hold up play and win free kicks etc, but would need absolute screaming pace around him otherwise we run the risk of being very slow and laboured upfront. Personally I think there is a lot of work to be done to move out a few high earners who don’t necessarily fit the mould of how we will play this season, my only hope is that there are deals for some in the pipeline which are just waiting for the new man to be offically announced and then the deals ratified.
  8. What we don’t know is who else has an eye on the exit door, didn’t Riccy say after the season finished that he would be open to a new project. I would not be surprised if 3 or 4 players that aren’t in the fans bomb squad are open to moves if the right opportunity comes along, I would not be surprised in the slightest if Riccy, Winks, Skipp and even Mavididi have been assessing their options and open to potential moves.
  9. but in fairness they looked levels above whilst some of our more “established” 1st teamers looked as poor and disinterested as last season.
  10. I would not be shocked to see Logan Briggs and Armani Richards end up at Leuven on loan, I think it was planned for those two to play minutes for them to have a look.
  11. A 38 approaching 39 Vardy still pisses all over Daka would take him back in a heartbeat in this team surrounded by young players he would bag 15-20 no problem.
  12. Absolutely love the bloke, make no mistake the club is a mess but he seems to have an air of calmness, assurance and has actually managed to cajole this lot into some semblance of organisation, every credit to him and the rest of the team.
  13. Hardly surprising when the central midfield options consists of Winks, Skipp, Soumare & Ndidi are all players who only really comfortable playing short passes or sideways. We need to play 4-3-3 and get more creative players in that front 5. Personally based purely on current personnel my starting XI would be as follows - Stolrcyrk Riccy P Nelson Aluko Thomas Choudhury Page BEK (if he stays) Fatawu/McAteer Monga Daka High energy and intensity all over the pitch. Subs Bausor Joseph Justin Okoli Braybrooke McAteer/Fatawu Alves Evans Mavididi
  14. Skipp and Soumare in midfield with Ayew up top and you can see the drop off in quality and energy.
  15. Nothing to do with Jakub, high line it was down to Winks and his piss poor under hit pass, Jakub was positioned where you would expect your keeper to be, unreal finish from the Leuven player.
  16. Not saying he is coming back but if something has changed which makes it a possibility then there is no way Vardy will give a shite about coming back regardless of the goodbye at the end of last season.
  17. It’s no wonder Cifuentes is so keen to join and manage us, with this crop of younger players coming through you have to be thinking what you could achieve with this crop.
  18. Aluko what a player 😍
  19. Maybe we can use the winnings to buy a kit
  20. He is on his holibobs leave him alone 😂
  21. Easy solution, 50 games this season and 25 goals job done 😀
  22. Maybe but given he hasn’t signed for anyone and clearly he isn’t going to get offered as much as perhaps his advisors were hoping or expecting could the goalposts moved for both sides.
  23. The pesky kid, Andy King
  24. Can’t afford a trophy winning team get a giant tobelerone
