I'd stick Mavididi there and bring in Mcateer. You could then ask the two to swap positions if needed, both have shown they have scoring boots at times.

I'm not sure of this widely held view that players cannot play 2 games in a week, the 2nd 11 although capable are clearly a level below, Coady/Souttar/ Casadei and Cannon clearly need to show more in training to get a place, a few others coming back from injury, suprised Hamza didn't get a run out though, Enzo seems to like him, perhaps Ipswich where we will have less of the ball Is actually more of a Hamza game.
-
I can help you out with this one. It wasn't a major honour when Newcastle won it but it will be when we win it why that is, I don't know though.
-
Exactly Enzo knows, it's not about one game. He is saying to the squad Rotherham is a tough game, he wants them mentally to approach every game like this. If it then turns out to be straight forward you can relax with a lead. If you start games too sluggish, it can then be hard to reverse that pattern.

We could be more comfortable at 3-1 last night, I didn't feel 100% confident. Its usually a bad passage of play, last night had KDH and then Faes give the ball away, around maybe 55th minutes, we then give away corners look shaky concede. What I would say is I thought our response last night after the 2nd went in was a bit better, it's hard to judge the Millwall game as the 2nd went in so late, but it seemed more focused last night, if still not fully where it needs to be.
-
That's a fair assessment though on KDH ability, I do think we have a great chance of finishing above Brentford next season, so it's a bit short sited.

He couldn't break into the misfiring Everton team with Calvert Lewin only playing about 10 games a season. So I didn't have high expectations -

Exactly the goalscorer I mean put him in our team and it would of been 5-0 instead it was 3-2, strikers go for higher fees for a reason. -

I was impressed with Birmingham, we showed some real moments of quality, its a work in progress this team, but I love the passion that's there again. -
It was very sloppy and lax in the last 10 minutes, lack of professionalism and a lack of composure on the ball. We did enough overall I give that performance 6/10
-
We've played with more intensity and then boom 2 goals, everyone could see Millwall were there for the taking, let's just keep going
-
I see both sides now, watching on Foxes player they have a more bird's-eye view and you can see the passes and the wider pitch better than a regular TV game, it is the speed of thought that is letting us down, you can see passes on and it happens 1-2 seconds after it should. I think Millwall will get a player sent off and tire.
-
Hmmm I'm not so sure that was a good display. It's just a bit slow, Fatawu looks on it and Millwall will tire, but it doesn't look sharp enough in both boxes at the moment.

Paid £1 million plus a year to do the same as those with season tickets who pay £500+ do.
-
Whether you like Kasper or not we could of replaced Rogers with pretty much anyone and stayed up if Kasper stays, I think Dean Smith would of kept us up last season with a whole season. It is what it is we move on, Kasper was coming to the end for 2 seasons for me. He was still premiership standard, in his pomp a top 8 goalkeeper I think.
-
I know that but I don't and getting red button Sky at a pub is difficult
-
The game by game that's available for tonight for £10 is it the match with commentary and can it be chromecast to a TV?
-
Some players just need a change of scenery, especially if they have come through the academy at a club. Of our current squad Iheanacho and Praet seem two straight away that have been here a few years, an probably just need to move away to step up a level/ just get fit again and play.
-
Mads is capable of more longer balls that find a team mate. It's hard to see from TV if he is missing these options or the movement just isn't there to play that pass. Justin was on for the one where they hit the post in the first half, it's a bit predictable where Mads will play most of the time.
-
Exactly we countered Southampton affectively, most teams will just allow us to have the ball and sit deep so the counter chances are far far less.
-
If you are failing to understand my point, I will say there is only 39% of the game where we didn't have the ball, so far less opportunities to counter attack. I do take your point that we could be far better in transition and need to be, some games we only get 20% opportunity to counter attack, even if Plan A wasn't possession from Enzo we would have far more of the ball than the opposition due to the quality of our players, 2 areas to work on certainly are what we do with it when we have it, and how we better use the counter attacking options that we do get.
-
I've come to the conclusion that a good 50% of people don't understand about the basic principles of football. How a lot of you can get so frustrated at something that from reading comments you don't even really understand is beyond me. 2 seasons ago the Europa Conference is shit May aswell not even bother. Last season correct prediction we are getting relegated in about November. This season oh my word we are gonna get relegated to league 1. Top of the table now, ah but it won't last, it's the style of football, it's awful. I remember hearing similar negativity top of the premiership in December 2015. Life is to be enjoyed.
-
How can you play a counter attacking style when you have 61% possession? You need to not be in possession of the ball to counter attack.
-
You have to remember that pressing is physically demanding, nobody can do it for 90 minutes even the top teams, even Liverpool in their pomp probably did it for 45 out of 90 minutes.
