  1. Is it that players feel there is a lack of general direction from the club? That we have gone through several managers with different playing styles, have an absent owner and a Director of Football that is out of his depth? Could it be that there has been the looming points deduction(s) hanging over us that are affecting them psychologically in that there's been uncertainty on how that will impact the outcome of the season? Could it be that they are far too comfortable turning up at a state of the art, but somewhat soulless training facility out in the sticks and picking up inflated wages for this level of football? Is it playing in front of a fanbase that are mostly dead behind the eyes? I have no idea. I don't think any of these are valid excuses, but I'd love to know what the hell is going on.
  2. Just to clarify, I am aware that Justin had performed well in the top flight for us before his injuries.
  3. Seeing James Justin look every bit an assured top flight player makes me think that some of our current group of shitbags might go on and do OK elsewhere when they leave. There is clearly a cultural problem at our club.
  4. Not convinced he meant to pull his hair then there, but letter of the law it's a red card.
  5. I've become convinced that a portion of our fanbase actually want us to be shit. They get a kick out of it. They seem to take pride in supporting a shit team and wear it as a badge of honour that they will still attend games even though we're shit to try and prove how loyal they are. I heard someone earlier say that the good thing about getting relegated to League 1 is that it will "shake off the glory supporters". I'm not being funny, but we're still getting over 27,000 to home games now. No one inside that ground is a glory supporter. We're 23rd in the championship and have won one league game in 16. If you really were a glory supporter, you'd have ****ed off a long time ago.
  6. Here are a few things I'd want to see incorporated. - No KPFC - No AI slop posters - Kit to be black with blue sash - All food and drink in the ground to be local - Proper tickets Feel free to add things.
  7. Ah gotcha.
  8. I've heard people suggesting that either we should or we'll have to sell Seagrave. Surely selling Belvoir Drive would be easier?
  9. No AI slop posting should be the first rule of the phoenix club. The only thing worse than KPFC is AI slop posters.
  10. I'm all for it as long as we do a means test on who can and can't be part of it.
  11. Our manager did strangle an opposition player on the touchline. Not sure it's the maddest, but worth a mention.
  12. I'm firmly of the belief that Everton didn't get relegated in those three seasons in no small part because they knew that their fans would have massively kicked off if they did.
  13. Union FS were first out of the blocks with this. They held up a 'King Power Out' banner, had people physically assault them and within the same week had an entire away end concourse singing against them. Furthermore, Union FS members were front and centre at both protests, the Foxes Trust publicly backed the protests and the Big Strong Leicester boys also attended both. It really doesn't matter if more could have been done. It's become very much evident that you, me, BSLBs and UFS are wildly out of step with most of the fanbase. In order for enforce any change, it needs large scale backing. Otherwise, it just looks like exactly what it is, a loud and vocal minority.
  14. The fanbase is the thing I hate most about the club. It's the biggest reason why I find myself questioning what it actually is that I'm supporting. I'm a believer in supporting your local club because of the sense of pride you're meant to get from supporting something that is meant to represent you. It’s why I've never understood how a Man United or Liverpool fan from Kent after seeing them on tele can feel the same connection as people that follow their local club or a club that has been passed down to them through generations. However, it appears that I'm so out of step with the majority of this fanbase and I can't relate to it at all. It just doesn't represent me.
  15. Can't believe the negativity from you lot. It's a tough place to go, Hillsborough. The likes of Chris Waddle and David Hirst can give anyone the runaround. Good point away from home.
  16. I think the penny will drop for some of the King Power loyalists (others are too far gone), but by the time it does, it will be too late.
  17. Things are so bad now, that I long for the Claude Puel days.
  18. Honestly, these players should thank their lucky stars that they don't play for a club like Everton, Leeds, Newcastle or West Ham.
  19. I think you're right. That Portsmouth team actually won 28 points, but were docked 9 points for entering administration, and despite getting fewer points than us on both occasions, I'm not convinced those Norwich sides were actually worse than us.
  20. The usual suspects losing their shit over this. Pathetic really. Rugby union domestically is on its arse in this country. Anything to try and generate better atmospheres and broaden its appeal is worth a go. The game will never progress while so many Rugby fans cling onto this rosetinted idea of what the sport should be whilst holding this pompous hatred towards anything football related. Quite a few players have said how much better the atmosphere was in games where there has been an away end. It's worth noting that are are many people that support the idea, though they probably are in the minority.
  21. It really is the Mick McCarthy bit. Everytime you think it can't get worse, it does.
  22. King Power loyalists often say "If you offered most football fans the premier league win, the European runs, the FA cup win, the great players, but we get relegated to League one this season, they'd accept it". It's a stupid statement because there didn't have to be a trade off, certainly not that significant anyway. However, one thing's for sure. If you offered those heights but it meant you won't have a football club to support in five years, many would outright refuse the offer, and most would at very least hesitate to accept it.
  23. It's funny because I don't strictly subscribe to the idea of keeping politics out of football. For instance, there are some football clubs that are political in nature for different reasons and it's impossible to depoliticise them. For example, Celtic were founded as a charity for Irish immigrants in the East End of Glasgow. The history of the club is highly political. However, I've always seen Leicester as politically neutral. We weren't born out of particularly politically charged circumstances and given that we are a one club city and county, it's reasonable to expect a wide range of people with different viewpoints within the support. I don't think your world view should affect determine whether you can support Leicester or not, and I'd much rather not be surrounded by people singing about Starmer, Farage, Tommy Robinson etc. I'm consistent with this, as I'd also think it would be out of place to sing songs in favour of Polanski, Corbyn, Davey or songs about Farage being a willy puller, at Leicester games.
  24. I find this pretty galling as well to be honest. I'm not a fan of Keir Starmer, but I never heard any derogatory songs from our away support about Boris Johnson, Theresa May, Rish Sunak or David Cameron when they presided over the worst prolonged period of governance in this country's modern history. Imagine I'll get pelters for this, but hey.
