Considering we never get anything at Anfield in way of result or decisions a defeat at Anfield I can sort of deal with but not like that... that was a complete write off from everyone on the pitch. Manager has to take the flack for that embarrassment.

He's gone backwards quite a way in the last year or so. He was close to being a first team regular at one point, now he's struggling with quite a few areas of his game. His forward passing is pretty shit in all honesty.. suicide passes galore

Not a whole lot of positive points to make. Happy with Fofana, had a good game. Pleased to have Slim back if he wants to play for us and work his bollocks off, all good in my opinion. He's definitely an alternative threat we desperately need at times - especially extra resources for this season. Other than that, we were pretty much on par if not a little worse than Villa - whilst at home. Which is pretty depressing. I'd of taken 0-0 with Villa's form and our absentees.. Couple of things spring to mind from the game. Grealish never got booked for multiple things, fouls, dives, even elbowed Castagne when Timmy got the ball.. was in disbelief. We seem to get outthought so easily with quick flicks and turns, sometimes getting too tight to man. Our passing is piss poor still. Fair play to Villa - I doubt they will play like they have done for a whole season - but still a strong outfit so far.

I agree, which is the reason why I think Rodgers keeps persisting with Perez for his defensive positioning. He does cover the space well and get back, but going forward.. blehhh

Barnes was our only outlet that half, Perez does sod all attacking wise. Probably need to think about Praet for Madders at some point, then Under for perez

Not sure how Grealish is getting away with carrying the ball 40 yards away every time we have a freekick .. not a bad first half, made some good breaks,just need a bit more qualiteh!
