Didn’t see anything against Huddersfield to push him in to be the ‘epicentre’ of anything ric - he was distinctly average - should have given away 2 pens and gave the ball away across his own box numerous times - you aren’t getting in after that - audition was a bit pants - he is 4th choice

Maybe it’s just me but at this level I think he will be proper decent - yes I know he was utterly garbage last year but so were the rest of them - clean slate for me - hasn’t gone on strike or caused any major trouble that I can see - seems to be a solid professional that’s just had a really bad season form wise if he can cover fatawu and maybe even push for a 10 spot or even cf then why not - completely agree with the poster above even if it was said in jest - it’s like a brand new signing and dare I say it if he hadn’t have been part of that team last year most would be saying he is a solid championship signing - I trust in marti- if he chipped in with 10 goals and assists he will have done a great job for us and nothing at all saying he couldn’t do that when he is fit

On a free they are decent enough stats - the Dutch league is miles better than the championship and he was a one in 2 man with limited game time - he is coming into a truly awful league and a team with 2 terrible strikers - if he works hard and scores 1 in2 for us this year it will have been a superb signing - every chance he scores more than daka and Ayew combined

We aren’t relying on them though - we are talking about 4th choice and a couple of months max till soutar also available- oh and hamza has defo played Cb in a 4 for us before against Watford in cup couple of years ago - as I said in the previous post though - I don’t mind faes staying - he has contributed in every game so far

4th choice winger - no issues - get it done but get 2cms and a striker done first
