  1. I don't feel remotely sorry for Daka. Last season he had ample opportunity to play. But the reality is, to date, bar that great game in Europe. He has woefully underperformed on the potential we thought we had brought. That said, if he now finds his mojo and the penny truly drops. Then he could turn out to be a resource. But my jury remains out for now.
  2. Only a brief cameo. But I'm not discouraged. He looked to have something about him. I look forward to seeing more of Mr Cannon.
  3. That's a fair call. But in my defence. The video clip real of his Sporting Lisbon games in matches, on something akin to a Vicky Park pitch. Did make me question his readiness for the Championship. But glad to be proven wrong
  4. The fullback had PTSD. Needed time out!
  5. Had his full back on toast. A bit under used 2nd half though.
  6. Adds nothing. Can we break the loan at NY??
  7. It's his age and potential that make him appeal so much. He is at the beginning of his career. With such huge potential. But, and there is always a but - he is playing against the likes of Plymouth.
  8. Given the performances generally from the other 2 this season. I'd say, if you play well and remain fit - it's your shirt for now. Not in a rush TJ see Kel waddle about anytime soon.
  9. I meant prep them with this idea in mind. Or has this need been sprung on us i.e. Delhi belly?
  10. I feel it's almost unfair on Daka & Cannon. Been kept in the stable for weeks and then told to run the national. Great prep boss. Hammy x 2 incoming!!!
  11. The only odd thing is that if you wanted to rotate our strike force. Why wouldn't you have given these two lads a few mins off the bench in recent weeks. They will be extremely rusty now.
  12. His technical ability would be awesome in an attacking mid role. Ala Maddison. But I do hope he's bulked up. As he will be crunched over and over again in that role.
  13. Not playing ever is unlikely to keep his value up. Evidently he's going to be moved on. But any fee gets lower by the day.
  14. I still think his decision making needs to improve overall. But his engine alone is one of our most valuable resources. He just adds impetus and drive. Even in the 95th minute. One of the fittest players I've ever seen.
  15. He's just doing a Youri. Coasting until the inevitable exit. Waste of a place & salary really. Just shows how important it is to sell players at the right time.
  16. He's had a bad couple of games distribution wise. It's remarkable we haven't conceded due to some kamikaze passes. But he's the victim off the opposition starting to read and negate what we do. However, we need Mads to make good decisions. So if that pass isn't on. Don't hit it fella!!
  17. There are a few sporting phrases, often used in rugby speak - such as 'play what you see' or 'play with your heads up'. The common theme being, that a player has licence to be spontaneous, instinctive and thereby creative. I would argue that currently we are slightly over coached and playing restrictively, as the 'formula' is king. We have an abundance of talent in that squad. But some of the decision making on the park baffles me. Players are not being instinctive and are not maximising the options. As they are wholly sticking to a pre ascribed plan. I'd say it's holding us back now. Not in fact growing us. Time to evolve Enzo. Good start my friend. But evolution is required.
  18. I've given Tom a chance. But nah, he's not for me. Move him on quick Enzo. He's killing us!!
  19. I think Winks creative side is under utilised. I'm certain he has it in him to pick a forward progressive pass more. He's a talented player. I'd like him to turn on it quickly and feed some more forward passes.
  20. My comment is not entirely about tonight. It's a general comment on our lack of tempo and urgency in possession across matches. We are simply too passive and don't ask enough questions. We don't create enough good chances as we are so wedded to the cult of 'keep ball'
  21. I think he's held majorly back by Enzo ball. He was a marauding full back before the ACL. Now he barely gets over halfway. That's the tactics given to him.
  22. It's the passive nature of the football which worries me. It's the unswerving belief that if you retain possession long enough. An opportunity will evolve / present itself. I don't think so Enzo! You have to make it happen by asking questions of the opposition. At times we play like it's a mates 5 a side game. Cantering around. No urgency, turning away from a progressive pass, favouring the easy and simple. Tempo and ideas need to seriously increase otherwise our points advantage will be home by January.
  23. Hope this is a moment in this season. A wake up call. To remind us we really aren't that special. And need to earn points by working harder and being a shed load more creative.
  24. Ample opportunity now. Just doesn't appear up to it. Pretty anonymous really.
  25. I'm a bit worried Enzo is a tad stubborn. Do wedded to the formula and decision making. He won't be budged. How hasn't he changed it when it's clearly not working? We are keeping Wednesday in the game by being sooo poor.
