  1. Any campervan owners here? We’ve covered the obvious - France, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg Italy, Belgium and my favourite, the Netherlands - and wanting to try a couple of new countries next summer. Any suggestions? Site wise, I need electric hook up and facilities and the smaller the better. Looking for areas with lakes to swim in, cycling, running etc. A farm based stay would be my heaven so not averse to an Airbnb.
  2. Head to the Jewish Quarter as it has amazing cafes and eateries - it’s a stop on the hop on hop off bus. I have to say that I wasn’t the biggest fan of Rome. I’m such a city girl and love just wandering around but found Rome to be really dirty and quite overwhelming. I’m thinking of going back there at a different time of the year to see if it was just a me thing. The food though was insane! We ate away from the main tourist traps and were absolutely spoilt for choice. And remember your water bottle! There’s a whole load of fresh water fountains throughout the city to fill up at.
  3. You dodged a bullet. I did this the other year and it’s the most uninspiring route ever. It’s incredibly boring route with sporadic support with the last mile and a bit being uphill.
  4. Saturday and Sunday, yeah. There is an April version if I remember rightly but it goes the other way which is all gently uphill.
  5. I’m a 5am runner no matter what time of the year and I love it. The canal in the summer is a particular highlight
  6. Manchester Half (the October one) is fast and flat Marathon Eryri is a must as the scenery is unbelievable and the course not as tricky as it sounds (ballot entry though which sucks) Tissington Trail Half in September is always a good one If you want a race that has a format like no other the summer version of Round Sheffield Run is something else - 11 times stages and recovery bits for you to fuel/dick about/clean the blood off you when you’ve fallen over (that from experience!) Chester Metric Marathon Naseby 1645 Naseby and Round Sheffield Run are my favourite races ever even if they are completely hideous and break your soul!
  7. Someone beat me to up but just in case others missed it, Nalis v Leeds. 2003.
  8. Crashed and burned at Wilne 10K today. Should’ve been a breeze on a predominantly flat course however I and others massively struggled. Took all my resolve not to quit at mile 4. Leicester 10K is an absolute breeze compared to this course even with New Walk at the end!
  9. You can park at VP in the car park by De Montfort. You can also park on the surrounding roads and pay at the meter.
  10. Is anyone else running the Wilne 10K next week? I was quite surprised when the race number arrived in the post as I don’t remember entering it
  11. Loved JJ, has been a great servant for us however those injuries really changed him as a player.
  12. I love Winks.
  13. It won’t make Thursday so will be looking for 1 x adult and 1 x under 18 please - 630 points suck
  14. They’re still online as the unsponsored shirt so worth ordering that way.
  15. Finished on 35 miles for the week after an absolutely hideous 10 miler this morning. Has anyone taken the plunge and tried the Nike Vomero plus yet? They were released this week and people are really hyping them up. Just wanted to get some ‘real life’ feedback as opposed to someone on social media
  16. I don’t just have one ticket for my seat on my phone today, I have 2. Impressive……
  17. I have always used Avin who owns MSK Osteopath and highly recommend him. It can be tricky to get an appointment and yes he is expensive but I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
  18. I’d be so p****d but nothing would ever surprise me!
  19. I can’t shake this feeling that we won’t get the result we’re expecting and will be humbled a la Bolton style in 2001 (I think it was)……
  20. I think you’re right
  21. I think I love Ayew. I can’t remember ever seeing a player who looks so disheveled, so unfit and like he has a permanent limp and is yet still able to do the job he’s paid to do. The bloke genuinely amazes me
  22. It’s a nightmare! People rave about Brooks but I’ve never got on with them. My best shoes were the Nike Lunarglide 9’s. Paid less than £50 and then they discontinued them.
  23. Nope but keep an eye for out for the Windmill Fell Race - it’s already been this year and a few from my club run it. If you fancy trail, mud, hills then look at next years Belvoir Challenge or the Belper Rover.
