  1. Eryri isn’t as bad as it seems. 3 significant climbs with the rest being flat or downhill. I ran this faster than Brighton……
  2. Chester in October Marathon Eryri in October (stalk the FB page to get a transfer as loads come up) Boston UK in April - fast and flat
  3. She is insane! But she’s young, no responsibilities and running is her hyper focus. I’m so utterly amazed by her ability!
  4. One of my friends ran sub 7 minute miles across the whole 26.2 - finished in 3:02
  5. I did London in 2018 which was the hottest on record. Won’t lie, it was horrific! The one huge positive was that I saw the good side of the human race. They’d ran out of water early on (from around mile 8) and people went and found water to hand out, shopkeepers let us in to help ourselves to water and strangers gave out ice lollies. I ended up walking most of it was it was relentless and I was completing couch to marathon. Amazing day and one I won’t forget. If you’re starting in the red area, as you’re running look left quite early on and you’ll see the lady who brings her horse to watch the runners! Really surreal seeing a horse popping its head over the hedge. When you reach Deptford, look right at the tower blocks and you’ll see the people wearing top hats having their marathon party. It’s brilliant!
  6. I’ve massively struggled with confidence since London 2024 and have pulled out of majority of my races for this year including London. In light of this, I have done what any normal sane person would do and have entered my favourite race for next Easter…..Manchester to Liverpool Ultra! It’s a dream route and basically a massive picnic.
  7. One massive positive is that today at work a student was singing ‘championes championes ole ole ole’ down the corridor as I live in enemy territory. I didn’t react. I still have a job
  8. I honestly couldn’t believe it. One nil down fighting for our lives and they said ‘right that’s me I’m done’
  9. The original route was hilarious…..the big grassy hilly field that’s on your left hand side as you run along a narrow path? Yeah you used to go up down up down and back to rejoin the path. It was hideous
  10. Time with my teenage daughter and because my love for Leicester is deep rooted. Today was the first time that I actually felt nothing. No anger, no sadness, nothing. I’m beyond frustrated with the poor running of the club I love. Beyond frustrated with week after week of lacklustre, sub par performances. And yes, we’ve renewed our season tickets. I won’t give up on a club that have been my life for many many years and a love that I’ve passed onto my teen daughter. I’ll be at Hull, Millwall and up in Blackburn but today, my patience finally ran out and we left right on the final whistle. I didn’t leave on the 85th minute like some did, I stayed like I have done every game this season and seasons before. Is that ok?
  11. Shokz for headphones - was skeptical at first but now wouldn’t be without them
  12. Left bang on the final whistle. I feel nothing for this team.
  13. Zero football talent and thinks ‘kung fu style slide tackling’ is showing desire and passion. I detest him and have done so for a long long time.
  14. That massively crosses a line
  15. Yep and if they win their midweek game and beat us on Saturday, they’ll be safe and we’ll be gone.
  16. I ran in mine today and thought what a great everyday shoe they are. For the price they are, they are absolutely spot on.
  17. It’s a strange one. Yea they do have a full length carbon plate but aren’t a quick race trainer. I average 300/350 miles out of them (this is my preferred mileage before I change shoes)
  18. Nike Zoom Fly 6 or Saucony Azura
  19. Possibly the most insane parkrun course I’ve done so far! 2.5 laps meaning that you do the curly wurly bit 3 times and you can see both the start and finish points the whole time.
  20. At least you’ll miss the inevitable end of season woes….. Footpath is a great app and have saved my ‘let’s just see where this goes’ runs so many times
  21. I know you can on Monsal but not sure on Tissington. Looking on Footpath it doesn’t look like there’s any paths off the trail except.
  22. I accidentally crashed a 10K race there a few years back and they encouraged me to go through the finish and gave me a medal!
  23. Is it an out and back? I’ve done a couple of jogs there before and I can’t imagine it being much fun! At least Tissington is point to point
