  1. I’m really anti the NovaBlasts 5’s. I find that they lack a bit of oomph and don’t hold up over 10K. Really disappointed with them. My day to day are the Nike Zoom Fly 6 - the 5 were dreadful but Nike have pulled it back with these. Decent workhorse of a trainer. I also have a pair of Vaporfly’s and Saucony Endorphin Speed 4’s - love the saucony and they feel like slippers on longer runs.
  2. It’s a really quite sad state of affairs at SWFC at the moment.
  3. 100th different parkrun location today and the best experience ever. Yep, parkrun at a prison…..
  4. Yes! This one! I may have to retire it soon as I’m getting nervous about washing it but god I love it
  5. The 1980’s shirt with the thin white stripes. My dad gave me his original version (without Ind. Coope on the front) and it’s my absolute favourite shirt. On a side night, it’s also my favourite club badge.
  6. You read the title of this thread, right? Cracking goal, yep, average player, nope
  7. I’ve entered this as well in the hope that it’ll be nice, cool weather
  8. Was out by 6am this morning and forgot to take a drink Came back down the Ashby canal and the heat was as awful which made the last mile more of a stumble.
  9. If you ever make a toe sock version then I’d be all over them! I struggle with ‘normal’ socks for running as my feet are just weird!
  10. Have you logged onto the desktop version and corrected the distance?
  11. Round Sheffield Run was as amazing as ever however the humidity in the woods was something else! Lost the will to live around the half way mark and contemplated a massive DNF howler after being referred to as ‘rapid’ by another run decided not to quit and to see how far in front of him I could finish. (Just under half an hour for those who care and his running mate had quit!)
  12. Was just coming on here to see if anyone had posted about the pitch I’ve never seen it look as bad as this
  13. It’s hands down my favourite event ever despite my trip to hospital last year as I fell over a tree…… Still no 100% on going but will see how I feel in the morning.
  14. I’m meant to be running Round Sheffield Round tomorrow - 11 timed stages with recovery in between. The overall elevation is over 2000ft and with my wave starting at 9am I can only seeing this being a disaster. It’s a lot of trail running, steep steps and inclines with insane downhills. It’s an incredible event but I’m not sure my body is up for it.
  15. I hear ya! I have always a 26 minute parkrunner but only just hitting a sub 30, having to run walk and feel like I’m going backwards. I had a nightmare today at parkrun and just couldn’t get going but my watch told me I’m overreaching. Great.
  16. I want the media circus of Wrexham out the way early on.
  17. Officially registered for next years London marathon as part of team Bodie Hodges! (just the small matter of Chester marathon in October to get through….)
  18. Random fact but I have this image framed and signed by Steve Walsh.
  19. Went to the new parkrun over in Swadlincote this morning….first lap makes you question your life choices but the next 2 aren’t too bad. I think in the right conditions it has PB potential (I can’t run ‘fast’ on flat courses, undulating for the win!)
  20. The more I read about JV, Sunday, Leicester the more I realise I’m just not ready to say goodbye
  21. George Taft originally sprung to mind but I think it was more of a case that he didn’t live up to his own hype.
  22. I said the same. I reckon they’ll struggle a fair bit.
  23. I have a cracking scar on my knee from that parkrun as I fell over there last year.
  24. It’s not as tough as you think! It’s the most magical marathon and the best advice I can give you to look behind you. There’s only 3 climbs and a lot of downhill. Everyone apart from the winner walks the 3rd climb but be warned….the descent from that one is hairy! Eryri was my PB course for a while and I found it quicker than Brighton. It really is a brilliant marathon and the finish line at Llanberis is amazing. I’m actually really jealous
