  1. I’m being a fair weather supporter today and have sent the teen with her dad. Happy to be proved wrong but now I’ve seen the line-up I feel it’s a wise choice
  2. Nope - drink of water and I’m out the door. I only do between 5 and 10k mind you. Sunday long runs and I’ll have a bit of Soreen then go
  3. Went out at 5am yesterday and will be the same again tomorrow. I probably enjoy it more this time of year than I do in the summer.
  4. Try your parking space. I always use it for away games and it’s been great.
  5. I’ve been told I can but it’s so painful at the moment. The cast is also surprisingly heavy so worried about the balance side of things considering I fractured it by falling on a run
  6. Just to add, shortly after Norwich scored, it was sung in the stands. It was most likely the same group of people but I can confirm it made it up out of the concourse. Source: my own ears.
  7. London training was meant to start tomorrow however I’m rocking a nice blue cast on my wrist after finally having the fracture confirmed. Feel quite deflated to be honest as I’ve been really fighting to get out for a run just recently
  8. There was something going on between fans in the seats closest to the hotel. No idea what was going on but stewards/police went up there.
  9. That was a cracking challenge by Winks!
  10. I’ve got a confession to make. After trips to Hull and Millwall last week my ‘LTID’ attitude has waned so I’ve shared season ticket with friends. This means that we’re guaranteed to have a cracking game and Daka will score
  11. Oh no! I hope you heal swiftly. I also bowed to peer pressure from work colleagues as I had zero intention of entering.
  12. I’ve never actually run the route before. First year I entered was covid so did it virtually dressed as where’s Wally around Thornton Reservoir and then 2 years ago woke up ill, turned up to run and was sent to hospital by the medic. Going for 3rd time lucky!
  13. How many of us are in for Ashby 20? In a real slump at the moment and desperately trying to fight my way out of it. Next year is shaping up to be a good one so it needs to happen quick as I’ve got my 3rd ultra booked, one marathon and a 54 mile London to Brighton cycle.
  14. Take your gloves! It’s predicted to be around 0 degrees at the top of Pen Y Pass on Saturday! As I’ve always said….forget about the 3 inclines, it’s the final descent that’s most likely to tip you over the edge!
  15. parkrun with arm in splint was an interesting time this morning. Had to sell my Derby 10 place as one armed running is far more challenging than i anticipated. Lost all motivation at the moment so cheered myself up with a marathon and ultra for next year plus the London to Brighton bike ride. Hoping half term means that I rest the wrist properly, get the all clear from the fracture clinic and rediscover my motivation.
  16. It gives me goosebumps every time. I like it, it’s unique to us.
  17. Currently sat waiting on results of an X-ray after falling whilst running yesterday. I’m confident it’s only bruising but was told to get it checked out. This means no Royal Parks half for me tomorrow I did parkrun though today just to check how hurt I actually am
  18. I promise you it’s not as bad as it seems! The first climb snakes up and you’re met with a beautiful downhill afterwards. I don’t remember the second climb but the third is magical. Yes it goes on for a while but honestly, take a moment to look around on your way up. Your quads will be screaming at you and you’ll be questioning your life choices however it’s stunning - enjoy a cuppa at the top! Unless you’re challenging for the top spot then everyone walks the final climb! What people fail to talk about is the final descent into Llanberis! I held onto a stranger all the way down - if it’s a wet one then I send my sincere thoughts and prayers. I have never loved a marathon or any other race as much as this one. It certainly is one to enjoy.
  19. Even better that my ‘stick a £1 on Vesty to score’ bet came off again today!
  20. Millwall is the one ground I’m a bit skeptical about visiting as it’s me (mum) and my 16 year old daughter. We don’t use official travel but use underground etc. Am I being a tad dramatic and worrying about us not being ok?
  21. Any campervan owners here? We’ve covered the obvious - France, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg Italy, Belgium and my favourite, the Netherlands - and wanting to try a couple of new countries next summer. Any suggestions? Site wise, I need electric hook up and facilities and the smaller the better. Looking for areas with lakes to swim in, cycling, running etc. A farm based stay would be my heaven so not averse to an Airbnb.
  22. Head to the Jewish Quarter as it has amazing cafes and eateries - it’s a stop on the hop on hop off bus. I have to say that I wasn’t the biggest fan of Rome. I’m such a city girl and love just wandering around but found Rome to be really dirty and quite overwhelming. I’m thinking of going back there at a different time of the year to see if it was just a me thing. The food though was insane! We ate away from the main tourist traps and were absolutely spoilt for choice. And remember your water bottle! There’s a whole load of fresh water fountains throughout the city to fill up at.
  23. You dodged a bullet. I did this the other year and it’s the most uninspiring route ever. It’s incredibly boring route with sporadic support with the last mile and a bit being uphill.
  24. Saturday and Sunday, yeah. There is an April version if I remember rightly but it goes the other way which is all gently uphill.
