  1. Ayew is one of those annoying players who doesn't seem to have a set position, like is he a winger, a striker? He has very little output and yet seems to get games in the premier league. A very uninspiring signing this would be.
  2. Well we've lost double figures in goals and assists from midfield and not replaced him, which is a big hole. We need a striker and a KDH creative attacking MF at the very least. Still believe we will be too short on quality. Vestergaard, a nearly retired Vardy and such may be ok in the championship but this is such a step up and I don't think we are equipped with enough quality.
  3. Why? Just out of curiosity. Surely it's easier to have everything in one wallet on your phone than loads of individual cards you could misplace. In my opinion the problem is the £25 charge not mobile ticketing. So many people now pay using their phone so what's the difference?
  4. In what world are we comparing one of the best keepers in the world to our keeper who has had a decent first season in England in the championship. Some of our fans are seriously deluded. Sure if Mads has about 3;or 4 very good seasons in the top flight he will probably be considered a 50m keeper.
  5. Judging by those highlights we should have lost about 5-2, and that volley from their lad would have been a puskas contender. Brilliant goal to win it by Mavididi, and some decent saves in there.
  6. He's done his time in Italy now why would he want Roma? They won't win anything. He's better off coming to the prem to a team like us where he will play every week and he will get himself more exposure, recognition and get a big move. I like the look of him, and 11 goals in a relegated side ain't too shabby.
  7. I like this. Free signing with premier experience, who works hard and can play in a number of positions.
  8. Probably the only one stupid enough to want to come here.
  9. I seriously have never been less looking forward to a season than this one. Going to have a honking squad, already selling our best player to Brighton of all teams, 3 years ago that would have seemed mental, points deduction, probable endless battering a, thanks Brendan Rodgers for all this, thanks a fvcking bunch.
  10. Yeah they definitely have some speedy players. Obviously Mbappe, but Theo Hernandez, Dembele, and Thuram are all rapid. They have the best squad in my opinion as an overall team, but now Mbappe is out it will be interesting.
  11. Italy, France, England and Portugal been very poor but still won. Spain best team so far for me, great mix of experience and youth, and actually play as a team, they are my tip.
  12. Another ironic thing is those category A fixtures are 99% sure to be all defeats too as they will be against the top sides. So it's between £55 and £72 quid each to watch a battering where we might occasionally touch the ball.
  13. It's probably a good one for him, in that he can't really lose. If we are crap he can blame lack of money, points deductions etc and probably still get a decent prem job afterwards. If it goes well and we stay up he looks really good and either stays and builds with us or gets an even bigger job. I think Chelsea was too big for him. I think he's a decent coach but not an elite one, which is all we need.
  14. I'm betting category A will consist of least Arsenal Man City United Spurs Liverpool Chelsea Forest And possibly Villa, so nearly half the home games will be the highest price. £72 for a Leicester game is absurd, London prices. We obviously think not many match tickets will be up for grabs so people will stupidly pay it. My season ticket in G2 works out at just over £20 a game, god help those looking to buy match tickets, mental prices.
  15. Hopefully the next Harvey Barnes. Maybe even better than Barnes who knows.
  16. Nigerian Pearson is probably one of the best typos I've seen in a long time.
  17. Football wasn't popular in the 80s full stop. Crowds were down everywhere. Of course success brings fans, clubs like Brentford, Bournemouth, Brighton etc would have found thousands of new fans recently and lose them all again if they go down a league or two. There's only a handful of clubs who would remain with crowds whatever the situation.
  18. Just read that whilst working at Leeds, Bielsa said that he values Corberan's opinion more than his own. He was held on high regard and did a good job at Huddersfield and WBA. He gets my approval.
  19. Corberan would be a big risk. Having said that he did well at WBA with no money to spend. If they've had a decent striker against us they would have beat us easily they were the best side that we faced at the king power last season I thought.
  20. Everton got a decent total despite having 8 points taken off them and that's got to be the model we follow. Be nasty, hard to beat and well organised. Branthwaite and Pickford were their best players by a mile. They have zero quality going forward but still stayed up easily. I genuinely think the quality of the league will be much higher next season though, the promoted teams are better and teams like Palace, Bournemouth did really well. I predict Wolves, Brentford, Forest, Saints us and surprisingly Brighton might struggle. I think Ipswich will do well if they keep their gaffer.
  21. What McGhee did cannot compare with Little, O Neill or now Enzo. I couldn't begrudge MON going to Celtic who are massive and couldn't begrudge Enzo going to a much bigger club with infinitely more aspirations and money. Littles problem was he said a few days before he was staying and then went. If he was honest it would have been different, Villa were and are a much bigger club. McGhee went from us (top of the league) to Wolves, who were in the same division whom for some reason he thought were much bigger and better. It's a bit like Enzo leaving us last season for Middlesbrough mid way through. That might a Molineux when Emile scored twice was still one of the best away nights ever. Judas 2 City 3.
  22. Forest currently celebrating like they've won the prem because they're staying uo with 29 points with only 3 of the poorest teams in prem history below them. Embarrassing.
  23. I felt sorry for those not in the kop or East stand corner near the kop, as all the post match action was there.
  24. Can't help but feel Monday and today were the wrong way round. Would have been great to toast the season with a nice win and Vardy scoring in front of the kop instead of just 5000 on a Monday night. The players couldn't be arsed and it was a bit shit if I'm honest. And what was with the music at the end? I just can't get enough and sweet Caroline twice?? Jesus wept. At least there is numerous 5 goal maulings and VAR to look forward to.
  25. And new fans
