I sit on the Kop and I want to sit in the Jamie Vardy Stand. Rename the Kop. By all means put the statue outside the away end but he was our legend and we should be sitting in his stand.

What a load of absolute crap! Why bother even turning up if he had the attitude you say. He doesn’t exactly live round the corner. As for playing for Celtic, why does that not make him “one of us”. If JV has a season at Celtic does that mean he’s no longer one of us? He was brilliant for us and made sure we held on at the Cup Final with 2 outstanding saves. He was always very professional and showed his passion in matches and his commitment. Perhaps the problem here is that you never considered him one of us. When we won the league, he was watching the game at Chelsea with his family in Manchester, then felt the need to drive down to Vardy’s house to celebrate with his teammates. You need to give your head a wobble.

What would your thoughts have been if they had done nothing? This is for Vardy and the fans, not the board. There will be plenty of opportunity to deal with them but this is our day with JV. Nigel a big and welcome addition.

I have a vivid memory of Crossie charging through the middle of the pitch in the FACup replay against Man C in 1968. He had a brilliant game and the result was an outstanding 4.3 win to the eventual league champions, after being 2.0. down.He was a very athletic player and City through and through. Rumour has it that he once sorted out Allan Clarke in the 1969 season when we were relegated, because Clarke was making out he was injured and didn’t want to play towards the end of season.

Are you an Auditor or Accountant? You seem to have no sense of romance or emotional ties to our legend who has impacted so brilliantly on our fans and club. Only seeing £ signs when it’s not going to make a great deal of difference. Those who have said it’s been like playing with 10 men when he plays will be glad he’s out next week. But past achievements and memories make Vardy’s situation completely different to anyone else’s. Faes is not a very good choice really!

I think before we start in the Championship, a bit of research needs to be done by the “singers” when singing Champions of England to certain teams. Football didn’t start in 1992.
