Call me a conspiracy theorist but this seems to happen regularly towards the end of our seasons. You wonder if our best players end up on a promise, and told to tamp down the effort a bit to keep their price down.
I wonder how problems off the pitch are affecting players? Could mean they are more concerned with their own futures than the club’s. Last season key players seemed to lose concentration on the job at hand, and perhaps the same is happening again.
The good news is that KDH and to some extent Winks had better matches than of late, plus Ndidi is back. Hopefully if Ricardo gets back after the break and up to speed, maybe Vardy as well, we can regain some confidence and finish this season off.
Hull aren’t a bad championship side and we’ve lost that imperious look that we had earlier in the season when we looked a Premier League side against dross, so in the circumstances an away point is actually quite decent.
We’re down and dirty scrapping it out with the rest of them in this division now. Hopefully we’ll grind out a promotion, but it won’t be easy.
Said it in the match thread, but I think Fatawu could be converted to the Ricardo role. Seems to have the talents for both attacking and defensive roles.
That was a horrible watch after the goal. Great work from Fatawu, about the only positive. Also seeing Ndidi again. Have to do better than this for promotion.
