  1. I just completed this quiz. My Score 80/100 My Time 70 seconds
  2. I adore my other half too. I also love my wine, and probably drink too much of it which doesn't help. I tend to not know when it's best to keep quiet. He thinks he doesn't help my depression, and I think it's what I'm feeling that is causing our problems. I just don't know how to make it better between us, but at the moment it's rubbish. I feel guilty for putting him through all of this and he feels guilty that he's not really much help, although he tries. Sorry I have no answers, hopefully someone will be along in a bit though ☺️
  3. Not a marriage break up but my current 5 year relationship is looking like it's going to be over soon ? We're both trying to salvage it, but ultimately he will never understand how I feel, and I have been pretty hard to live with.
  4. Is it just me or does anyone else find that they need to rewatch seasons again before they can start a new one? I've been really looking forward to Stranger Things 2 but have forgotten so much of the first one, and so I'm watching it again. Maybe it's just my age...
  5. That's criminal!
  6. Off to Malta for a week next month, can't wait. It's my 3rd visit in 12 months, absolutely love the place.
  7. Not all of us ☺️
  8. Mine is the 1852. I'd like to think that I could take on a year and survive it but having Googled it I see that Smith and Wesson were founded that year, so no, I couldn't take on a gun and win. However the first public toilets for women were also introduced that year, although having visited many over the years I'm probably lucky to have survived some of those too!
  9. Can I ask a really stupid question? How do I add one of the subscription channels to my firestick? I'm more than happy to pay for a decent stream, but have no idea how to go about it.
  10. I just completed this quiz. My Score 40/100 My Time 87 seconds
  11. I'm always reluctant to advise anyone to go down the appeal route, purely because I found it a horrible experience. Don't under estimate the strain it will put on the whole family, it completely ruined a whole summer for us, and we still didn't win. Luckily I'd written down every thing I wanted to say, because when it came to the day I just completely fell apart and couldn't speak! Like you I had to apply online, and theoretically the school had no input. But I badgered the poor head mistress relentlessly, and eventually she said just bring him (my son) in on the first day of school, because she would never turn anyone away. To this day I'm not sure that he was ever officially on the school list, but county hall never got in touch and he's now half way through his A levels. At the end of the day you need to do what's right for all of you, but certainly in my experience badgering is the way forward ☺️
  12. This is probably a stupid question but is it set in stone that the test has to be passed? Are all the grammar schools massively over subscribed? I just wonder if it's worth chatting to the head of the schools and explaining the situation, after all percentage wise she did really well.
  13. Got up at 4 this morning to drive to Harwich and then get on the ferry to Holland. Really long day but so glad to be away for a week with the children. We're staying at a Euro camp site called Diunrell, we came last year and I'd thoroughly recommend it to anyone with children. Theme park and water park on the site, and a beautiful beach nearby. Only about half an hour from Amsterdam and The Hague too.
  14. Absolutely loved it too, but not so much the second series. I'm interested in what you think after the second, having watched them back to back rather than waiting a year...
  15. McDonald's Rick and Morty Szechuan sauce stunt backfires - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-41543636
  16. Looking at that makes me quite sad that we hear so few of those songs. Even the ones we do sing don't seem to really get going, and just fade off after a few lines. At the minute though I'd be happy if we could get anything going, if we could sustain it for longer than a minute at a time
  17. I nearly posted the exact same thing, but I thought you'd all think I was stupid. I swear I read the original post as Izzy's though....
  18. I just completed this quiz. My Score 30/100 My Time 82 seconds
  19. I just completed this quiz. My Score 40/100 My Time 101 seconds
  20. I sometimes drive my car in Europe, and I generally find it ok. Pulling out to overtake on the motorway or a dual carriageway is fine, you usually know what's coming up behind you from your mirrors, and I usually have a quick glance over my shoulder anyway, even here. Pulling out on single carriageways can be a bit more tricky, I have to rely on a passenger to tell me if it's clear! Or just leave a much bigger gap, but that's not always that easy. Not sure I'd want to do it all the time mind, but you get used to it I guess.
  21. I just completed this quiz. My Score 30/100 My Time 98 seconds
  22. I just completed this quiz. My Score 40/100 My Time 105 seconds
  23. Just wanted to quickly say thank you to all that have replied, it humbles me to know there are people willing to take time out to respond to a stranger. I will update properly when I have more time, I just didn't want anyone to think I don't appreciate the support
  24. Those cellophane wrappers on microwave meals that never peel off properly. How hard can it be to make ones that actually come off in one go?
