  1. No, it's not just you. I have no issues with Facebook, I'm only friends with people I actually know and it was brilliant for keeping updated when I lived away. And, keeping in touch with old work friends etc. I only look at posts from people I'm following on Twitter so, again no issues. I get lots of useful news and sport updates via Twitter. The only pain on both is the adverts.
  2. I've not been since it was Ashfields, so it's been a while! The Sunday lunch menu is £32 for 2 courses or £37 for 3, which doesn't seem bad value.
  3. Following recommendations here, just finished Lucan. Enjoyed it. I hadn't realised the alternative format to a regular drama. On the first visit to 'the old man' I'd have pilfered something with DNA or fingerprints.
  4. It's still not finished but does have (rich) ordinary ST seats. I sat in there for our game, just purchased a normal ticket. But a lot more corporate areas are in there. The inside and riverwalk area are nice though.
  5. Well, yes. Although isn't part of the charge because he called him a 'German c@@t'? If he'd just called him a standard general c@@t, it would've been fine
  6. I think your Son should be having a stern discussion with his Estate Agent and Solicitors. And, although it's certainly worth floating the idea that he'll consider pulling out. That is a decision which needs careful consideration in my view, depending on his circumstances. Does he have a purchase lined up? How much is he going to pay in Solicitors fees for aborted sale? And, to bear in mind we're now in Nov -Dec soon, a traditionally quiet time for sales. Understandably, he wants to get on with it but being ps'd off and impatient may cost him a lot of money and there is no guarantee of another buyer immediately or that starting from the beginning will be any quicker than proceeding with the current buyer. Saying he is considering doing it to put a rocket up the relevant derrieres, I would suggest is his first step. Actually doing it, could be expensive and risky.
  7. Has anyone tried The Crab and Cow at Leire or Fourwards in Earl Shilton? Looking for a Sunday lunch trip.
  8. Not quite in Charnwood, but I can highly recommend The George at Coleorton.
  9. Jealous of all these 2025 arrangements. My schedule is desolate until the China, Hong Kong, Vietnam and India land and cruise trip in October. And my favourite cruise line just announced Alaska itineraries for 2026, which I can combine with a Miami to Seattle sailing through the Panama Canal. I keep looking at that and doing nothing for 2025
  10. No. See a selection of previous posts... as a clue, if it was your birthday, you'd have what event?🥳🎂🍺
  11. I've diagnosed an issue with a valve on my boiler. I don't have the qualifications or competence to deal with it. I'm getting someone in who does. Top needs to recognise the same. And, unlike last time, before it's too late.
  12. We're all good at pointing out the blindingly sodding obvious. The issue is, it's his job to fix the deficiencies, and he doesn't have a clue how to.
  13. We've somehow made one of the worst Man U sides in recent history look like prime Barca. We're just a special level. Our squad isn't as talented as it was but they should at least show some fight and determination. And, how can't professional footballers take a free kick!
  14. Haaarrrveeey Baaarneeees. I still can't not hear that 😂
  15. One of the few days we didn't want spurs to be spursy and they're kn0bbing it right up.
  16. I think the comms man was expecting Vardy in the team and just crossed his name out and replaced it with Ayew.
  17. Injured. Although some suggest it's another unknown reason. No idea what though. Match comms said its Vardy's back.
  18. What is your assessment of it then?
  19. Perhaps this is the issue....
  20. I know it's imperative to save all of the solar paperwork, when we sold our last house the solicitors wanted all if it and details of the payments we received. A bit like planning permission for anything you've had done or UPVC certificates. Obviously, not to your fault Paul and difficult if it's not your house but, a note if you've had them installed yourself.
  21. It was, which I see as a good comparison to KDH in a 'KDH we need to sell you or we're millions ££ out on FFP and in the sh1te'. Which is merely my point, both KDH and the club have said it was a necessity to sell not that KDH wanted to go.
  22. Not all, at all. But, it happens is the point. Piper goes on regularly about being sold against his wishes.
  23. Not any guess work. Kasper spoke many times in interviews stating that's what happened to him. Various other players have described identical situations. Clubs accept offers and you're off. You're assuming the cash was his incentive but KDH has said he didn't want to leave.
  24. You accept an offer and tell the player he's off. It's that simple. Leeds did it to Kasper, that's how we signed him. The difference is receiving the offer. The players we wanted out weren't coveted by other clubs and we didn't receive offers to accept. Sometimes you get a player refuse if the club accepts the offer, we accepted an offer for Vestergaard and he refused to leave. And, while KDH didn't want to leave, he knew the score with FFP and that we needed to sell.
