  1. Vardy said exactly that in the recent sky interview. He's enjoying himself again and part of that is the banter of winding up opposition fans. Yes, he might realise there's not going to be many more years to do it so, it's time to enjoy it all the more.
  2. Let's hope not
  3. Vestergaard played well is a new one. Definitely hadn't heard that until recently.
  4. Yes, that's where we were. They were shouting Leicester is a sh1thole, which, is a bit rich when you're from Stoke
  5. The ones being escorted down Welford Rd pre match were the same, and throwing beer and glasses.
  6. What were all the half-time announcements about? I only caught a few of the words clearly, something about asking people to go back in due to an incident?
  7. Cost, inconvenience and reliability deter me. Last time I looked at getting the train was for our game v Fulham. I needed a bus to St Marg, walk to the train station, train from St Pancras to Putney. The main train element was £55+ each return and the trip would've taken about 4 hours, plus adding time for transfers and waiting around, each way. Drove down in just over 2 hours. Half a tank of fuel and £8 to park. I've looked at getting the bus to our home games, it's 30 minutes in the car and a 10-minute walk once in town. It's an hour minimum on the bus and a 35-minute walk. So, never going to happen.
  8. Hans Christian Anderson wrote less fiction than that article. Praet is being sold as he isn't playing....the same Praet that has been out injured for 2 months? There's only one praet in this scenario, and it's not Dennis!
  9. Me too. Let's not shout about it being clear, or it won't be
  10. At times, it has looked like he was trying too hard. I mean, that''s better than last season, where most of them (not KDH) didn't look like they were trying at all. But sometimes, trying too hard doesn't result in optimum performance. Trying to do too much of everything and not focusing on a few things done well. Enzo has clearly been working with him on this. If "shooting from his house" is a direct Enzo quote, brilliant, just brilliant. What a man
  11. I don't disagree in the potential of a problem, but I hope that his experience from Man City is beneficial in that. He has experience of working with a team better than their competitors, of staying focused and winning.
  12. If KDH and/or family are regular readers of FT they should be fully aware that half of the stuff posted is utter sh1te, and we have a disproportionate number of fans who are numpties. Not to say there hasn't been valid constructive criticism at times, but there's an awful lot of guff. If you're looking for proper feedback Kiernon, I'd chat to Enzo.
  13. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_EFL_Championship_seasons Yes, Burnley got 101 last year. Although, not on the Wiki.
  14. And given the length of time since we were last in the division, there's probably plenty of fans that we're a new ground to tick off. And yes, they hopefully think it's a one off opportunity.
  15. I've noticed the 2 ball boys nearest the dugouts don't get a look in. As soon as the ball's out of play Enzo pounces. Poor lads have one job and Enzo has nicked it 😁 And it's not like he's not got plenty of his own to do.
  16. From the CRIL FB page. PRIME MINISTER RISHI SUNAK ANNOUNCES THE REOPENING OF THE WHOLE IVANHOE LINE AS PART OF A £ 9.6BnTRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE PACKAGE FOR THE EAST MIDLANDS! In his leaders speech this lunchtime the Prime Minister announced that he is going to scrap the HS2 leg from Birmingham and reinvest the £36Bn saved in transport infrastructure projects in the north and midlands. In the supporting detail issued after the speech a package of measures for the East Midlands, worth £9.6Bn, is referred to. This includes the following statement:: “Reconnecting communities by reopening closed Beeching lines. We will ensure delivery by fully funding certain schemes in our popular Beeching reopening programme, to reopen closed lines and new stations on existing lines in the North, subject to approval of business cases. We will reopen the Ivanhoe Line between Leicester and Burton, connecting nearly 2 million people across South Derbyshire and Northwest Leicestershire.” This development is obviously helpful, but we will need to wait to see how things develop over the coming months. At the very least it strengthens the already good probability that the Derby to Coalville section will go ahead. It also creates a new framework for the extension to Leicester to be authorised and funded. This would give us a target for our follow on Campaign. One helpful feature is that the announcement includes the development of a Midlands Rail Hub, which could well include the remodelling of the southern approach to Leicester Station. This would make the reconnection of the Ivanhoe Line into Leicester Station a realistic possibility. Watch out on here for more news on this development….
  17. Definitely better tonight, particularly second half.
  18. Obviously, we need to get promoted first. But one of the big things that made me very angry regarding our avoidable relegation. We'd worked so hard to get promoted last time and become an established PL side. And a good one. Then Brendan threw it all away and we have to start again, with the threat of the yo yo problem.

    Taxi

Always used to use A1 when I used to come over to visit. Even after post match beers at random o'clock in the morning, they were always reliable. Would it be easier to get the train and then a cab to the general? You could definitely get an uber in town.
  20. Not sure how people are expected to manage to carry a scarf, along with their clapper, flask and small sandwiches 🤔 And they need a free hand the carry the honesty flags out...
  21. WTF is that bounce sh1te about?!
  22. No wonder we've scored more PL goals this year than Chelsea. Wow, that was awful.
  23. It did look photoshopped but apparently has been verified.
