I think it was actually 1979, Trevor Francis. That’s all we talked about at school that week!

Mid nineties wasn’t it on channel 4, quite late if I remember correctly? SX might have been a bit ropey and what were the Volons all about, but it was decent television. ithuriel Posted 55 minutes ago (edited) Got my B5 box set out for a rewatch, even to this day the show has such well written character development that few can rival, especially Londo's going from a beaten down well mannered diplomat to a tyrant in the making which horrifies him and then to a savior of his

So Diane Abbott has been censored again by Labour for being antisemitic. Not a great fan of hers, but unless I am missing something could not see the antisemitism in her original remarks, nor these more recent ones.

It was an interesting video and kind of matches what was in this BBC interview of four South Korean women. Long hours, big inequality between men and women and very expensive to have children with little help from the government. It begs the question as to why the South Korean government are not doing more to support people, who want children when national birth rate is so low.

Fox is an entertainment network, masquerading as a news channel. The Dominion lawsuit proved that Fox executives knew that Trump’s rigged election claims were bogus, but reporting the truth would have hurt their ratings. As you say the BBC for all of its faults does try to remain impartial. I personally prefer the more in depth reporting of Channel 4 news.

They might go down the Gray/Keys route and end up with their own cookery show/channel in Dubai.

Yes does not look like too many original ideas on offer here, Dracula, Frankenstein, Alien, Predator, vampire trailer park, zombies. How many more variations can they wring from the one concept? The Blink film/series does look interesting at least. Who am I kidding, I would probably watch the Alien spin off anyway because I like most of the films.

Very odd story. Does not sound as though anyone actually complained. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cn5kpd4y2yvo -
Alcaraz’s stats for first and second serve were 53 and 51 per cent, well down on his normal game. You don’t win matches with that standard of serving, particularly against someone like Sinner.
-
Well fair play to Sinner, but it certainly did not live up to expectations (mine at least).
-
Yes and Alcaraz’s first serve percentage has been poor. Sinner has served so much better so far.
-
Hope for a five setter, with Alcaraz the victor.
-
If only…….
-
You have to feel for Anisimova, particularly with her recent history.
-
How did she not win one game on her serve?
-
I assume this is the first time this has ever happened in a modern Wimbledon final.
-
-
Fair enough, I will be cheering on Alcaraz tomorrow. Does that make me a fan, I suppose it does. Sinner was very fortunate not to get dumped out in the quarters.
-
I do think Jack Draper has taken a giant leap in his progress in the last 12 months . He has shown he is capable of beating the very top players such as Alcaraz, Fritz and Rune. As he is still only 23 and if he carries on this arc then I can see him winning at least one slam during his career. I don’t have that parochialism fortunately, I just admire the skill, fitness and mental fortitude that you need to be a top tennis player. It is also how you conduct yourself on and off court, which is why someone like Kyrgios is a major turn off.
-
Not a great fan of Sinner, but Alcaraz seems reasonably likeable in his interviews and a fantastic tennis player to boot. Anyone you do like?
-
PDiddy, or Puff Daddy, not sure which sounds the most ridiculous.
-
Nah, fresh prince has lost his mojo.

I thought Gary Busey was on co-comms.
-
Difficult one, but don’t think you could have done much more tbh. I assume they knew each other.
